These Matilda shoes are the sweetest kind of summer holiday shoes. Accessorise with a huge skirt, sunglasses and a vat of sangria. Don't wear them to the office - you'll only break their fun-loving heart. They're £30 from Topshop.
But do wear these black and gold tone block sandals to the office. They're a stompy, getting things done kind of sandals, and bang on the money too, priced at £50 from River Island. If you want similar straps but less of the stomp, take a look at Ravel's Lara sandals, £40 from House of Fraser.
My favourite summer accessory is ice cream. Handily these Bertie Jalenta sandals will go perfectly with every single flavour I pick, from mint choc chip to raspberry ripple. They're also a lot more sophisticated than my taste in ice cream. A bargain, then, at £45 from House of Fraser.
It's in summer that the brights look right. That's why I can't resist these Fluro Twist sandals, from Deena & Ozzy, which look like the joyous creation of a 9 year old who has been let loose with their highlighter pens. They're only £32 from Urban Outfitters to boot. For a similar style, but with shimmer replacing the fluro (and who doesn't like a bit of shimmer for summer?), check out Kate Kanzier's £25 Cyndi sandals.
Office, you're reading my greedy little mind by naming these shoes the Picnic Hamper. Yes, they'd look pretty wonderful when worn to a croquet and Pimms kind of picnic. But I think they've got protect your toes from clumsy commuters on grubby city streets potential too. I can only think that description wasn't catchy enough. They're available for £48 in my own two colours for the summer season: off-white or - if I'm really lucky - tan. Summer, I'm ready for you.
