Diamond (ear)rings

These dangly earring are fab. I often can't decide what jewellery I want to wear - do I want rings, or earrings? Or both? No need to decide! Instead I'll just buy these gorgeous diamond ring earrings.

Of course, they're not really diamonds. That would be very lovely indeed, but also way out of my price range. They're design by Parisian designer Benedicte Mouret and everything she produces is a limited edition. As always with my sparkly magpie ways, I like the mix of elegant and quirky in her work. You can buy necklaces to match as well (although I wouldn't wear them all at once, I don't really do the whole matchy matchy thing).

Like these beauties? They're £68 from Amanda at Nonesuchthings.

Design Porn: Black Diamond Cutlery

For five minutes, imagine that money is no object. And then imagine that you can decorate your kitchen with anything you want (you're all imagining a KitchenAid, aren't you?) This is my dream cutlery set. Coated with a carbon-finish, this is probably the swishest black cutlery there is. Diamond-encrusted cutlery for that matter. Sort of.

It's so very luxurious, and so damn sexy. Unfortunately, it's a staggering £235.80 for a FIVE PIECE set. It might be the most extravagant item I've ever written about. But I really really want to eat my steak with diamond-covered forks. I'll never be able to afford this (and even if I could, I'm not sure it's the best use of my cash, despite being so damn gorgeous), but if you can part with that much cash, you can buy the set from Design At Home.

Too pricey? Take a look at this Pied a Terre Onyx set from House of Fraser. It might not be made with diamonds, but it's still damn pretty. It's £160, but you get 24 pieces, which means you can share your spoons.

Key player

Finally! A key I won't lose after a night of cocktails. This one won't open any doors though. It's from a new range at Tiffany and I'd expect them to fly out the door pretty sharpish. This one is £135, but there's loads to choose from. Even a platinum and diamond one if you have an extra £5000 to spend. But, I think I prefer the simplicity of this one.

Housework Fairy: Lisa Stickley

It's not often I talk about housework, because it's DULL! But, until a real housework fairy is invented (who do I speak to about that?), I'm going to have to distract myself with pretty housework things. Like this ironing board cover from Lisa Stickley:

Stop putting your head to one side to try and read the writing. You look silly. Here's a close up:

Gin! Diamonds! See? Ironing is now lots more fun.
