Julien Macdonald Glassware's Got Some Animal Magnetism!

Despite the fact he turned out to be an uber-bitch when he appeared as a judge on Project Catwalk, I will always hold a little place in my heart for the designer Julien Macdonald, mostly because the word 'subtle' doesn't appear in his vocabulary (much like mine).

His homeware collection for Designers at Debenhams is just like his clothing; glam, sexy and completely over the top. And I bet a fair few of you will love it as much as I do. You didn't know you wanted zebra and leopard print martini glasses and champagne flutes, did you? But I bet you're considering it now! These babies will set you back £7 a pop, and there are even coordinating shot glasses to really get the party started. Just be sure to invite me...

Design Porn: Reiko Kaneko Crowd Glasses

Of course, Hidden Art Shop have wowed me again. I think I want everything they sell. This unique crowd design from Reiko Kaneko looks like something you'd find in the Tate Modern. But instead, you can buy these glasses for £19.95. And as long as you don't imagine the little people coming alive and running about your kitchen, you'll have a little piece of art in your kitchen forever.

Reader Sluttery: Nuttycow's Laura Ashley Glasses

A little while ago, we showed you some stunning Laura Ashley champagne glasses. They were in the sale and only a bargainous £2.70 each. Not only did our reader Nuttycow snap them up, she also picked up some wine glasses as well. And they're even more lovely in real life!

And oooh, what's that in the corner? She also bought some of the lovely button flowers from Etsy that we featured a while back! Yay!

Bought any of the items we've featured? Email us!

This week we're loving...

Aside from latte foam, cute hamsters, pear cider and new shoes? Here's the rest of the stuff the Domestic Sluts are loving this week:
  • These cognac glasses from Bodie and Fou are stunning, and boyfriend friendly.
  • We like things with cherries on. Especially this cherry mug from Cath Kidston.
What have you guys been loving this week?

Reader Pick: Laura Ashley Champagne glasses

I'm not a huge Laura Ashley fan. Domestic Slut Gemma is often waving the Laura Ashley flag though. Our first reader pick is from Kirsty, who bought these gorgeous blue champagne glasses. Not only are they stunning, but they're in the sale. They're £2.70. £2.70! That's the best bargain EVER! Actually, Laura Ashley have gone one better. You can get an extra 10% off if you buy before Sunday. I might have to start paying more attention to that shop. Thanks, Kirsty!

Bought something wonderful recently and think we should feature it? Email us!

Picnic Time: Graham & Green acrylic filigree glasses

If you're after something a little snazzier than paper cups for your picnic, these acrylics glasses from Graham & Green will be perfect. Lovely filigree pattern, pretty jewel colours and no chance of breakages. They're £6.95 each so they're not the cheapest option but they'll be a great treat for when the sun comes out. Of course, I'm only buying them so I stop dropping real wine glasses on the patio when I'm tipsy, but that's a good an excuse as any.

Shop in the spotlight: David Redman

David Redman is full of stunning glassware. Perfect for all of those posh cocktail parties that... I don't have. Still, I can look at the website and marvel at how pretty everything is. But mainly, how pretty these things are:

These champagne glasses are sooooo pretty.

And they match this rather stunning decanter as well.

I know it's £595 but this is the sexiest cocktail shaker ever.

Shop in the spotlight: La Maison Couture

La Maision Couture might just be the best new find this year. That's right. This whole year. It's a bit like an upscale MyDeco. Very swanky it is too! You can't buy anything there, but it'll point you in the direction of some rather lovely websites. Everything is split into rooms which is a cute touch. Here's some pretty things I'm coveting as a result:

I really really want this dressing table from Brissi.

This pasta bowl is really really cool. The same can't be said for the Bodo Sperlien website.

These surreal Couture Lab glasses are very lovely indeed.

Berry Red Lemonade Jug

It's no secret how much I like fresh lemonade, and this lovely jug will make it even yummier. The jug is from Berry Red and comes with six matching glasses so you can share. I don't want to share it though. I want to keep it all for me!

The set is just £17 which is a complete bargain. It's so lovely that it's winging its way to Domestic Sluttery HQ right now.

Design Porn: Swarovski Crystalline Stem Glasses

I actually spotted these while I was shopping in Berlin. They're a stunning set of glasses, but the £230 price tag is a little out of my price range. Even if they are the prettiest glasses I've ever seen. They're a little bit Cinderella-esque which I like.

Look! Crystals in the stems! If you're not skint like me, you can buy them from Swarovski. You can buy wine and martini glasses too. I'll just sit and stare at my computer screen for longer than is normal.

Champagne time: Sagaform glasses

These are the nicest champagne glasses I've seen in a really really really long time:

Of course, I'm only going to put cheap bubbly in them, and someone else at Domestic Sluttery HQ will no doubt break one, but they're £12 for two from My Living Space so I'll try not to be too upset when the inevitable happens. You can get martini and schnapps glasses too, but I want these.

Etsy Pick: Tree Glasses from A Touch of Vintage

I don't often feature vintage Etsy finds, because once they're gone, then that's it they're gone for good. But these orange tree glasses are just too pretty to ignore.

They're not cheap though. It's a hefty $22 for the glasses from Etsy seller A Touch Of Vintage, but it's then another $22 to get them shipped over from Canada. But I still really really really really want them. And what I want, I usually get.

Vintage wineglass soy candles

Remember those jars of Nutella that doubled up as drinking glasses once you'd finished a pot? Well, the same principle of smart recycling is at work over at Green union, where you can pick up these stylish and unusual room candles.

Each candle is made from a vintage glass filled with earth-friendly soy wax which creates a lovely glow without sending soot particles flying through your home. And you can, of course, drink from the glass once it's used up. Bonus!

Zara Home Decanter

I have a habit of littering my bedside table with glasses, and teacups and generally anything that might hold some kind of liquid (yes, occasionally this includes champagne flutes too). But there has to be a way for my to stop littering my otherwise tidy bedroom with cups and glasses. I might just have to invest in this jug from Zara Home:

It's only £17.50 and it even comes with a matching glass, so there's no excuse for me being messy. It might work.
