All Things Original Sale

There are only a couple of days left in the All Things Original sale, so I had a nose about for the very best buys.

This Unity lampshade is fabulous. It's cream, which means you'll get a gorgeous glow to your room. But the best bit is easily that it has little floral moths on the inside. Turn it on, and watch the little moths light up. It's £35 reduced from £70.

This love brooch is a really novel way of wearing your heart on your sleeve (and perfect for all you anti-Valentine's ladies). It's £7.50 now.

This dodo ring is adorable. It's only £10.50 now.

There's also some great bargains to be had from my favourite photographer Cassia Beck, and Bagatelles & Co. Make sure you snap up the bargains before they're all gone!

Skirting around the issue

I absolutely can't resist this pretty, pretty jacquerd heart skirt from Miss Selfridge. It's so unique. But it's not too outlandish either. Just a couple of unusual touches that make it special, but still wearable. And you know what that means? You'll spend the day collecting compliments, which makes it worth the rather modest £30 price tag. Still not convinced by the heart print? Check out the back:

I love that the bow is on the back. There's bows everywhere at the moment, but at least Miss Selfridge are doing something different. In fact, they've been doing a lot different recently. They might even be over taking Oasis as my favourite high street shop.

I bet I've bought this by the end of the day.

We heart pasta

Mmmmm pasta. Pasta is wonderful, isn't it? Throw some olive oil on it and you've got a quick and filling snack when you come in from a night out. Or, you can spend hours making lasagne from scratch and impressing your friends. There aren't many staples as versatile and as yummy as pasta. Sorry, but cous cous just doesn't cut it.

I love the heart shaped pasta. Alex and I spotted it in a shop in Angel at the weekend and I wish I'd picked some up. It's so cute and automatically makes your dinner more fun. Like when you have Disney shaped shaghetti shapes instead of hoops (or is that just me?)

Luckily, you don't have to go to a fancy shop to buy this romantically inclined treat, you can pop to Amazon and buy some for £2.25.

Perfect Presents: Heart-shaped Spoons at Graham & Green

I love these heart spoons. I like that the handle is heart-shaped rather than the spoon itself. Graham & Green have made something very simple very beautiful. It's a great example of classic design with a little twist. They're £29.95 which is a bit pricey, but they'd make a great romantic gift.

Noolibird, don't stamp on our hearts

This is such a pretty little stamp. It's from a whole range at the wonderfully named Noolibird (what's a noolibird? can we have one?). The website isn't great, but that lovely heart stamp is just £14.50 and I reckon you'll be using it to stamp just about anything. Although I recommend using it to jazz up your downstairs loo, or on the back of hand written love letters.

I heart this Rockett St George print

Last week you told us that in your house, the room that needs the most work is the bedroom. We've often lamented on Domestic Sluttery how to get a bedroom that works for both boys and girls. Somewhere soft, relaxing and calming but without straying into chintzy floral fluffiness. After all no man is going to feel relaxed in a room pitched somewhere between 6 year old fairytale princess and Barbara Cartland. Yet no Domestic Slut is going to put up with a gloomy bachelor boudoir either! That's why I am loving this print by Rockett St George.

Bless. Romantic enough to make even the coldest heart melt, yet not as cheesy as, say, a 'Love is...' picture. Manly in its monochrome colour scheme and the fact it doesn't actually say those three little words. But its all lacy and pretty too. And heart-shaped. Perfect. And pretty reasonable too at £40. Oh, and it even comes in pink, blue and gold! Hang it above the bed, et voila, unisex bedroom brilliance!

The perfect sunglasses

We are getting an Indian Summer, we're not getting an Indian Summer...what's going on!?! I've given up reading the papers and watching the telly and am just going down the fingers crossed and hoping route. Which is why I am on the hunt for some fabulous sunnies and could you imagine a better pair than these amazing ones fom Oliver Bonas? Heart shaped? Check. Star print? Check. Rose-ish tinted? Check. Protective? Only full and total UV protection (check). Affordable? At £15, check indeed! Now all we need is sun!

Love from Home and Glory

I'm not usually a fan of lettering around the house. It's all very obvious, isn't it? 'Sleep' and 'eat and boring stuff like that. Can't we have 'shag' and 'drink' instead? I was so impressed with this lettering from Home and Glory. These vintage letter press letters spell out the word 'love' but it's not in a boring obvious way. Simple, unique design. Take note Graham & Green, they're quickly becoming my new favourite shop.

Shop in the spotlight: Lily and Doreen

I first came across Lily and Doreen when I spotted their licorice allsorts jewellery. But they've got all sorts of other pretty things there as well. Unique, pretty pieces that are just waiting for you to snap them up.

This little allsorts bracelet is just £29. Perfect for making you smiley on a Monday morning.

The little knitted hearts are filled with lavender. They'll make your drawers smell lovely, or you can slip one into your pillow to help you sleep.

This pretty purse is made from a vintage scarf so there's only one available! Go and get it now!
