Living room essentials: sofa, so good

Being the resident Domestic Slut with a border-line-obsessive cushion fixation, it's only natural that I've also got a bit of a thing for sofas. I'm currently in the market for a new one, and what with my penchant for everything vintage, I'm after a sexy settee with a bit of character; I'm mostly thinking Chesterfield in terms of style and have found two sofas that are just the ticket:

First up is this decadent velvet one; it's from Sofa Workshop and I'd buy it for the name alone: Grande Dame. Oh yes. Down from £2,565 to £1,846 (a snip!), it has a somewhat chaise lounge feel about it.

Next, this bona fide, genuine vintage leather Chesterfield from Rose and Grey. *Sigh* Isn't it lovely? I can just picture it adorned with my best-of-British-style cushions. At £1,395, the lived-in feel is included in the price, so you can get straight on with some leisurely lounging. Or hoovering, or something.

Design Porn: Wawa

I was looking for something completely different when I stumbled across Wawa. I'm in awe. These are the most amazingly constructed sofas I've ever seen. These sofas by Richard Ward are exactly the reason we have a 'Design Porn' section on the site.

Pretty isn't it? But there's more...

Richard has his own shop on Ezra street, just off Colombia Road market. Oooh, I like it there too.

They're all made from beech wood and filled with feathers. This is my favourite.

This one is called Brenda. What a nice name for a sofa. It's very Big Brother diary room. In a good way.

I'm in lust.

Seven Deadly Sins: Sloth - Blue One Deko Sofa

This sofa, is for lounging on. Without a doubt. And I'm firmly in the school of thought that sofas should not be a boring old beige colour. This one is perfect. Of course, it would look better in some huge open plan penthouse flat, and even half of it wouldn't fit in Domestic Sluttery HQ, but I love it anyway.

It's from One Deko, and it's down from £2647 to £2117.50. You're saving heaps there.

So blindingly pretty you might have to Squint

After I posted a piccy of my latest furniture lust from Plumo, Domestic Slut Abi tweeted "I see your Plumo and raise you this Squint." Squint? What is this Squint she speaks of? Well, this is Squint:

Isn't it lovely? It's also £4000 worth of lovely, but luckily the chairs are a little cheaper:

This lovely chair is only £2800, a bargain in comparison, but it is a bit out of my budget. But still, they're very pretty to look at aren't they? And, if you spilled wine on them, it'd just look like part of the pattern. Good work, Abi!
