A quick pick-me up: Lola Rose Jewellery

Yesterday, I had a case of the grumps which doesn't happen very often. So to cheer me up, I popped onto the lovely Lola Rose website. I've been meaning to pick up one of their lovely rings for ages now, but then I spotted this:




So pretty! And of course, I deliberately chose the bright colour to cheer me up even more. The whole set was just £59 in the Lola Rose Collection. I'm all cheered up now.

Cocktail Hour: Pink Gin

Yes, gin cocktails might make us Domestic Sluts sound like drunken old lushes, but here's the thing: I don't really like vodka. And I've never had a gin-based cocktail that I don't like. BUT, if you've got an early morning meeting, it's best to avoid. But it you don't, here's a lovely recipe for a pink gin cocktail. Aces.
You'll need these things:

• 75ml Gin (of course),
• Soda Water
• 3 drops Angostura bitters (that's what makes it pink!)
• Ice

You'll need to do these things:

Add the ice to a glass and pour the gin over them. Then top up with soda water and add the bitters. Don't add to much bitters. It's meant to look pink, not taste rubbish. If you want more pink, add food colouring. But that's silly. Don't be silly.

Etsy Pick: Vintage purse by Plusonedesign

Every now and again, I'm unashamedly girly. Not very often, but when I do feel like being a bit girlish, a little bit of pink and vintage is great. So despite this purse being $76, I love it. It's made from vintage fabrics, and it's so pretty. This would be a great gift for someone getting married, but really, I just want to keep it for myself.
