Cool Cameos

I love cameos. They're so pretty. Although they weren't initially worn by women, it was during the Elizabethan period that women started to collect them as a sign of status. But just because they're an old design, that doesn't mean they have to look old-fashioned. Here are some of my favourite more modern designs:

Unicorns are really rather wonderful. They have magic powers! And a horn! And they're a very pretty white which makes this pink unicorn cameo from Elsie Belle look rather elegant. it's £13.95.


This cameo is from Fables Boutique on Etsy and it's so cute. The image is a little fairy looking up at a hummingbird. Cute! Love the chain that it's on as well. The Swarovski crystals and silver are a really nice touch. A bargain at $52.


This Jolie Bijoux piece is my favourite! It's not a necklace - it's on a ring instead. It's might be the most traditional, but the pale smokey blue is such an unusual colour and the little sparkly bits make it really stand out. The fact that it's only £14 from Treasure Box makes me want to jump up and down a little bit.
