Despite my fear of real-life butterflies (they're all fluttery and unpredictable and might fly into your MOUTH), I quite like the 2D kind.
Online boutique Rockett St George has a fab line in butterfly stuff that brings out all sorts of wantiness in me. My favourite is this Susanne Phillippson Butterfly Clock (was £220, now £165):
It turns a modern (and, quite frankly, dull) clock into something whimsical that makes me ooh and aah. And it's on sale.
I love the idea of little features making a big change, which these Butterfly Floral Wall Stickers do wonderfully (we're a big fan of Rockett St George wall stickers). I also love that they're only £14.95 for a pack of 20 - more than enough to jazz up a door or alcove.
I don't have a trivet, but it's a very good idea. Especially when they look like this:
This cast-iron Butterfly Trivet (£15.50) is perfect for serving dishes that have spent hours bubbling away on the stove, or for giving the impression that you regularly prepare said dishes. That's the power of a trivet.
That trivet is stunning! But, if there was a pen lying about, I'm not sure i could resist making butterfly stencils on my kitchen counter.
ReplyDeleteThat would make my landlady maaaaaad.
The trivet IS gorgeous. The clock is too, but I couldn't bear spending over £100 on a clock...
ReplyDeleteI might have to get crafty and make my own version O.O
Butterflies are wonderful and pretty. I'm wearing butterfly earrings as we speak. Hurray for butterflies!
I am in love with all of them! *sigh*
ReplyDeleteButterflies are indeed all sorts of awesome. But not the live ones. Brr.
