Mix-tape mania at SUCK UK
I love mix-tapes. There was nothing better than someone you liked giving you a mix-tape. And there was nothing more fun when you were a kid than trying to record the top 40 before the DJ started talking over the end of the song. The only thing was the top 40 was really really long and you'd only get to #33 before you got really bored.
And then iPod and Spotify came along and they big fat ruined mix-tapes! No one makes them anymore! It's not fair! No scribbled little notes in the really tiny lines, no songs cut off halfway through because you ran out of space. Humph.
But, enough with nostalgia. There's nothing that can bring them back, but it seems as though those folk at SUCK UK feel the same way. Look! It's a Mix-tape USB stick! With space for little love notes and song-lists! How clever. Obviously all of the music goes on the little USB stick, but it's as close as I'm going to get to mix-tape happiness. At least this time the tape won't get all chewed up in the machine.
WOW!! I love this idea! I will be leaving big hints for the boyf to make me one hehe x
ReplyDeletePleased you like! They're my new favourite thing!
ReplyDeletefantastic - but I don't need one because I found a double CD with my definitive playlist: "3 Chords & The Truth" It was published by SOny Australia (just last year) and the only place I've found it on-line up this end of the world is the Bear Family Mailorder Shop in Germany: www.bear-family.de
ReplyDeleteCor, this looks ace! Mine and Mr. Cay's one year anniversary is coming up soon - I might have to get him one of these as a token of my eternal devotion!
ReplyDeleteI can't WAIT to buy someone one of these as a present!
