I spotted this in John Lewis today and it made me squee and clap my hands.* Portmeirion have done this Secret Garden range exclusively for John Lewis and it's absolutely lovely and perfect for afternoon tea.
It is a shamelessly summery design but would mix and match well with regular crockery. Plus as it gets colder and darker, reminders of warmer and sunnier times are more than welcome.
Prices start at £6.75 for a dessert plate going up to £23.50 for the cake stand or the teapot.
* Squeeing and clapping of hands in John Lewis can result in nearly inadvertently opening a wedding list. Their sales people are very nice and very persuasive...
I have been lusting over this for sooo long! I want to get married again so that I can have it on my wedding list! I might just have to get my husband to treat me at the weekend! Ooops DS making me spend again ;o)
ReplyDeleteOhhh so beautiful! Not seen this range before but it's rocketted to the top of my wishlist!

Why don't shops do birthday/ christmas lists as well as wedding lists?
ReplyDeleteI want a list. I'd put this on it for a start.
Portmerion = my favourite pottery! The village is pretty beautiful too!
ReplyDeleteA little bit on the girly/twee side for me I'm afraid.. But I do love tea sets :)
ReplyDeleteOh it's gorgeous! And it would go with our decor. Is it wrong to engineer a wedding just to get porcelain? (And a nice ring, naturally.)
ReplyDeleteOMG, I MUST have this, hope they still stock it.
