On the 3rd day of Christmas, Domestic Sluttery gave to me a Chinese teapot from Cocomale!
Yep, it's day three of our Christmas giveaways and we're giving away this Chinese glass teapot from Cocomale Interiors. Now, whilst I'm a big fan of teabags, I think you can do a little better than that if you win, can't you? This is the kind of teapot that deserves stunning flower tea! The glass is perfect for showing off all of those lovely blossoms. Don't save this for 'best', kick off your day with a pot and it'll really brighten up your morning.
To win this lovely teapot (worth £28) just tell us what your favourite tea is. Are you an English breakfast fan? Chai? Or just good ol' PG Tips?
We'll pick a winner at random and then announce the winner the next day. You'll get an extra entry for retweeting (just the once) but if you've already won a '12 days of Christmas' competition please don't enter again, we want to share the presents and Christmas joy!
Good luck!
The small print: This competition will close at midnight on December 3rd and is only available to UK Based readers. We’re not allowed to enter our own competitions, although we often wish we could and would fill this teapot with jasmine tea. We'll pick the winner at random, and we've got heaps of wonderful Christmassy competitions over the next week so don't be sad if you don't win. Try again tomorrow! Merry Christmas everyone!
I love green tea, it just ends a meal nicely

I love some Notting Hill tea we had bought at Portobello Market...it's aromatic, tasty and makes me feel good :).
ReplyDeleteI've retweeted (@compergrapevine )
ReplyDeleteI love green tea, jasmine tea and mint tea, but at home it has to be common or garden Yorkshire tea, the Hard Water variety, because our local water is so hard you can almost slice it.
Good old PG tips tea made in a large mug with a dunkin biscuit, sat by an open fire. mmm
ReplyDeleteTetley as an everyday tea, but raspberry leaf is delicious as a treat
ReplyDeletePS. Am tweeting @paulinepppp
ReplyDeleteMy favourite tea is Lady Grey. Perfect afer a heavy night out or for a lovely morning cuppa.
ReplyDeleteFragrant Earl Grey Tea, loose leaf, not tea bags, with a slice of lemon, in a bone china cup and saucer.
ReplyDeleteThat's before the husband and five hulking great kids get up to ruin the peace and quiet...
There's a Yogi tea called Detox that tastes and smells just gorgeous. I have no idea if it keeps me detoxed or not, but it tastes and smells like Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI love Earl Grey, and I take it black because I just can't be doing with milk. I would use this teapot to make fresh mint leaf and honey tea - it's very simple and warming on cold days like today.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite brews are either black tea with cinnamon and vanilla, or green tea with pine nuts and raisins...
ReplyDeleteLady Grey, primarily because it always reminds me of that old Helena Bonham Carter film about the nine day queen.
ReplyDeleteI've just tried an apple and maple syrup tea. It was wonderful, and a new favourite.
ReplyDeleteLady Winchester tea for me! Mmmmm.... I'd use this teapot though for Cherry tea with all the pretty buds and things. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteGood ole builders tea on a day to day basis, but if I'm feeling posh then its Mariage Frères Marco Polo loose leaf straight into my infuser. Have recently been thinking about getting a glass teapot for flowering teas though, so if I don't win, I think I'll have to tip my hubby off about this one for a Christmas pressie idea! Although I'm not sure how he'd feel about adding to my rather vast teapot collection...
ReplyDeleteBeating all the fancy labeled and herbal teas of the world is a good cup of strong PG Tips, there is truly nothing better!
ReplyDeleteGreen Tea with lemon as it wipes away the night crawlers to start your day fresh, and keeps me motivated all day.
ReplyDeleteI like different teas for different situations. Mint tea is great for settling the tummy, Chai is lovely at this time of yearwith its warming scent, earl grey is my favourite posh tea (with milk), Roiboos is great late in the evening (and to share with my little nephew at his "tup a tea" time) and then there's bog standard tea for that moment in everyday when you just think "oh i could do with a cup of tea".
ReplyDeleteYorkshire tea!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite tea is a simple peppermint tea. It doesn't only taste great, you get it anywhere and is healthy, too. Pepermint tea never gets boring for me.
ReplyDeleteYorkshire tea. So strong you can stand your spoon up in it, preferably.
ReplyDeleteI like the whittards Raspberry and Cranberry tea. Very delish!
ReplyDeleteEnglish Breakfast for everyday; peppermint last thing at night; turkish apple for something really refreshing.
ReplyDeleteOh I love this - I'm thinking of using it as a Christmas pressie for my ex-boss (now friend). She is a tea addict. For the 4 years we worked together, I was official "tea maker" for the two of us, only because I always got it right!
ReplyDeleteI'm a "Pearl Grey" (for some reason that's what we've always called it in the nuttycow household). Although, at a stretch, I can drink builders.
It has to be yorkshire tea! I may live down south but my heart will always be up north!! :)
ReplyDeletei love green tea or any tea that has a hint of aniseed mmm
ReplyDeleteIt has to be Lady Grey for me, I love Earl Grey too but lady wins by a small margin!
ReplyDeleteThe most amazing tea you can drink is "Teapigs 'The Great White':Organic Silver Tip White Tea"! It is incredible and i swear that if you have a cup of this after a (drunken) night out and before bed, you wont wake up to a hangover!!!! Please pick me, I move to my new flat tomorrow and it wouldnt be complete without a glass tea pot!!
ReplyDeleteI love all kinds of black tea, green tea, as well as rooibos (although technically it is not tea). At the moment I am loving milk oolong tea - difficult to get hold of, but definitely worth it!
ReplyDeleteI was tipped to try "Punjana" mixed with Typhoo. I love it.
ReplyDeleteMy tea tipple of choice is Tick Tock Rooibos. It has a lovely vanilla taste and aroma and makes a fab iced tea too (not today though, would turn into an icicle).
ReplyDeleteRED BUSH! I seriously am in love with this tea right now. I'm not normally much of a tea drinker, but my newly discovered love for this yummy infusion of leaves is turning me into a hardened connoiseur. Yum
ReplyDeleteBlood Orange and Passionfruit tea. Lovely; blood red and smells delicious.
ReplyDeleteStains like the devil though if you happen to be ever so slightly dsypraxic. Maybe, maybe a glass teapot isn't the best thing for me, but I do love it so.
I'm boring and just like PG Tips - love the idea of the fruit/herbal teas but whenever I try them I just don't like them :(
ReplyDeleteI've retweeted @Spiragirl
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tea is Typhoo loose leaf, although I am using ASDA losse leaf at the mo and it does the job. Can't stand teabags!
Have re-tweeted :)
ReplyDeleteFor me, it's caramel tea. I didn't know such a thing existed either but my oh my, it's Heaven!
PG! Did try those chocolatey flavoured drinks for a while (mint, choc orange etc) but nothing beats a proper brew.
ReplyDeleteI love assam tea, ideally with tea leaves rather than bags, I love to watch the leaves dance around the tea pot and swirl in the hot water.
ReplyDeleteTwinings Irish Breakfast. Top of the morning brew!
ReplyDeleteI'm normally a plain old breakfast tea kinda gal, but when the mood strikes me and i need a treat there’s nothing like apple and cinnamon tea to bring a smile to my face!
ReplyDeleteIt's so warm and cosy and just the right kind of sweet, i do have a habit of loving absolutely everything with cinnamon but this is just fantastic!
Oh and retweeted @vickxy
I like Earl Grey but the 'house tea' is Twinings Everyday. A few pennies more than PG Tips et al but bursting with flavour...
ReplyDeleteThe big questions is however,do you put the milk in before or after?
Personally I'm pre-lactariun :)
RT @mr_omneo
Earl Grey, very stong, with just a splash of milk - just the way my boyfriend's mum makes it. In a proper china tea cup too...
ReplyDeleteRT @yoyomarules
Love a good strong yorkshire tea myself!
ReplyDeleteI love Assam tea :)

ReplyDeletei like nettel tea, my gran made me drink it when i was young cos i would have upset tummy, so she said the upset tummy would soon go away when it realised what was going to be poured down into it. so now it has become my morning ritual to have a cup of nettel tea!
ReplyDeleteSarah x
my favourite tea is definetly indian chai. if i have time cooked on the stove for a wee while with lots of demerera sugar and milk. nom nom x perfect for xmas! x
ReplyDeleteMy faverite tea is peppermint, as i`m suffering from morning sickness and its the only things that seems to help.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas
I love Chamomile tea - very calming.
ReplyDelete(I can't get my LiveJournal account to work but I am @beachrambler and I have retweeted)
Twining's cranberry, raspberry & elder flower - or any 'red fruit' tea
ReplyDeleteMy fav...that's easy...Whittard's Christmas Leaf Tea...'cos whatever the season it makes me feel better!...Have seen their flowering tea, and would love to try that...should be impressive enough in a glass teapot...
ReplyDeleteCecilia
I don't even like tea... but a teapot like that would make me want to start drink tea! Probably something fruity.
ReplyDelete@txteva retweeted
PG Tips for me!
ReplyDeleteI love a nice cuppa regular ol' builders tea :-) Milk, no sugar - would be marvellous!
ReplyDeletePukka Tea, any flavour and accompanied with the Co-op's finest stem ginger cookies, please!
ReplyDeleteTwinnings Lemon & Ginger tea with a homemade gingerbread woman
ReplyDeleteI love PG Tips as it is rather a tasty and refreshing brew,I like it slightly strong but not too strong and it has to be nice and hot so I can enjoy it :)
ReplyDeleteI like tea too much to have a favourite! PG Tips, Twining's English Breakfast, Pukka teas, Lady Grey tea (yum), Rose hip tea, Chai, jasmine tea...
ReplyDeleteand believe it or not I don't own a teapot.
Must rectify immediately.
Lady Grey tea :) Yum yum :)
ReplyDeleteCan't beat English Breakfast, strong with milk when in need of comfort. However Ginger tea is great when you need something more cleansing, and peppermint tea really does soothe a dicky tummy!
ReplyDeleteLove tea!
The Best Tea is when someone else makes it...
ReplyDeleteEarly grey and assam mixed in ratio of 2:1 and delivered by my lovely hubbie who makes the best tea strong with milk and even warms the pot! " Always get a make to make you tea before you accept his proposal" is my motto for life.
ReplyDeleteNothing tops a cup of rooibos tea for me!
ReplyDeleteget a man even :-)
ReplyDeleteJasmine tea with steamed dumplings
ReplyDeleteoh this is so beautiful! Love the fact you can see the pretty petals and leaves !
ReplyDeleteI love rosehip tea and the variety of flavours that you can get from Whittards of Chelsea.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I want one! I'm still a bit of a PG drinker myself, but I've been meaning to try more exotic varieties. If I had something like this I would no longer have an excuse.... :)
ReplyDeleteChai is my favourite tea - it reminds me of being in India drinking cardamom tea out of dinky clay cups. Mmm tea memories.
ReplyDeleteFinding it really hard to decide, actually. My favourite tea from the supermarket is Clipper Green Tea, oh it's amazing, definitely nicer than Twinings. It's also really good for you, which is always a bonus. Lately I've started drinking proper loose leaf tea. Darjeeling's supposedly the best but I have to say I prefer Assam. Chai made with Assam is just incredible, and also nice with a shot of espresso in if you need a little boost!
ReplyDeleteI love good old English Breakfast!Nothing can beat it! Went travelling last year and it was so good to come back to a good old cup of English Breakfast tea :)
ReplyDelete@katylittlelady
My favourite tea is Rooibos Gingerbread tea from a little tea shop near me - perfect for this time of year and it tastes of all things lovely!

ReplyDeleteNot veyr original but its Twinings Earl Grey for me...MMM! :D Rt'd on twitter too!
ReplyDelete@Englishian
My favourite tea has to be apple and peppermint, there is a wee tea house in the West End of Glasgow that brews it to perfection, it's warm and refreshing in equal measures, and said tea house sells it for you to take home and enjoy too :)
ReplyDeletei'm usually a bog-standard-tea-with-two girl, but at the moment i'm really into Yogi Tea's Licorice Egyptian Spice... its really sweet and spicy, and smells of christmas!!! each tea bag has some little words of wisdom... this evening's teabag says 'bliss is a constant state of mind, undisturbed by gain or loss'. you must try it, its totally yum!!!x
ReplyDeleteGreen tea
ReplyDeleteMy favourite cup of tea is the one brought to me in bed with a croissant on the side!
ReplyDeletex
I love yogi tea yummmmmmy! (Retweeted also!)
ReplyDeleteRaspberry and Ginseng tea! I'm sort of amazed that no one has mentioned it yet, as its fantastic in so many ways. The perfect kick-start to early mornings, just about as good cold as it is hot, and quite honestly the only thing that is getting me through Christmas in retail. Plus, it's a lovely colour, and would look great in that teapot.
ReplyDeleteRt'd (@maxiboose)
I loooove tea! So it's very hard to narrow it down to just one. I'd say for something a bit different, special and decidedly girlie I'd recommend lychee black. The black tea is layered with lychee fruit and steamed so the lychee flavours infuse into the tea (and no doubt some of the fruit juices drip onto it too). Lovely, very slightly sweet, ever so fruity. Fantastic! And would be so pretty in this teapot!
ReplyDeleteI only drink Tetleys- cannot be doing with tea that tastes of flowers. Pretty tpot though.
ReplyDeleteTwinings Camomile + a footstool = bliss!
ReplyDeletePembrokeshire Tea is my fav.
ReplyDeleteI love clipper tea. mmmmmmmmmmm tea!
ReplyDeleteEarl Grey, very weak with milk - yumm, lovely to wake up with and I have one now.
ReplyDeleteDarjeeling! Mmmm...
ReplyDeleteA friend bought us Chai tea from the US and Im ashamed to say I refused to try it at first as I am a Yorkshire Tea girl. But once I did, oh mommy! Lush is an understatement. My teapot would CONSTANTLY be full of the stuff :)
