Beautiful beds: I should Rococo

What with my recent post on sexy-looking sofas, I'm now looking at bedecking my boudoir with a beautiful new bed. Running with the 'Art Noir' theme in my bedroom, naturellement my bed of choice will be gorgeous in a shabby, decadent, Gallic sort of way. To get the look, you don't even need to visit a provincial antique shop or flea market - not when charming family-run UK business, Newtons have got a whole host of special offers on - regarde:

Their Rococo Collection, inspired by the faded elegance of 19th Century Paris, certainly radiates a feeling of opulence and grandeur. Every piece is handmade from mahogany, then painted, stained or hand leafed and given a gentle antique finish to enhance the delicate carving. The silver King Size bed pictured is £849 from a whopping £1,689, or for an even better bargain, plump for Noir or Parisienne cream: just £529 from £849.

My chambre shall be chic in no time.
