In keeping with our recent obsession with hot cocktails, from mulled wine to to boozy hot chocolate recipes, another of my current favourites is the classic Milk & Honey cocktail. I seem to end up with Benedictine leftover in the liquor cabinet after every Christmas, which is fine by me because it means that no matter how distressingly bare the cupboards might be, I always have the necessary ingredients for a cheeky Milk & Honey before bed.
To recreate this warming liquid wonderment for yourself, all you need is:
- 50ml benedictine
- 200ml milk
- Cinnamon
Warm your milk up in a microwave or pan, and add to the benedictine. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon and glug to your heart's content. Or, when it's warmer, serve with cold milk, ice, a slice of orange and a stick of cinnamon. Delicious whatever the weather!
Ah! Perfect! I LOVE Benedictine! (and have been to the Abbey in France!)
ReplyDeleteI will be making this tonight, to see me through the sub-zero. Thanks girls :)
Sounds a fabulous drink, We'll be trying this one. Anything which contains Benedictine is likely to be great !
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments! Bizarrely I never liked Benedictine much until I tried this, so if it can make a convert out of me anyone who already likes a cheeky Benedictine tipple will love it, I'm sure...
