Design Porn: Bagatelles&Co purses
Ever since I was a little girl I've been addicted to snap-frame purses, and there's still something nostalgic and satisfying about the click-clunk of the latch for me. I fell in love with Bagatelle&Co's handmade bags and purses at a design fair late last year. The Lili Clutch above is made from softest Liberty print cotton, and it's approximately £46 on Etsy.
Somehow this ploufy (that's a word, right?) deep purple silk Gigi purse reminds me of Scarlet O'Hara's bustled skirts. Having fondled one of these lovingly at the design fair, I can confirm that it's beautifully constructed and would look gorgeous on a dressing table as an accessory, if not used out and about and it's approximately £26.
I may actually have squealed when I saw this one. Look at the gobstopper sized clasp! The 'Golden Arabesque' Magnolia Shoulder bag is made in silk/cashmere fabric, with gold dupion silk lining. The chain strap is detachable and it comes in its own protective pouch, as all beautiful bags do. It's approximately £64 and would be perfect for a wedding - as guest or bride so you can justify it either way!
