Cocktail Hour: Apple Pie Mug Martini

I promise we'll that soon we'll stop recommending that all cocktails consumed when it's cold outside must be served in mugs, warmed and spiced up with a generous sprinkling of cinnamon. But not just yet. Because there's just something so comforting about them at this time of year. But the beauty of this one is that you can serve it hot or cold, either in a mug or a martini glass:

What you'll need is:

  • 50ml vodka
  • 75ml vanilla liqueur
  • 150ml apple cider
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Squeeze of lime
  • (Makes one mug, or two martinis, depending on whether you want it hot or cold)

All you'll need to do is:

For the martini version, pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice, mix and then strain. Or, for the warming apple pie in a mug, combine the vodka and vanilla liqueur, top off with warm cider and then stir in your lime and cinnamon. Drink three and fall asleep on the sofa.
