Sweet Treats: Merchant Gourmet Dulce de Leche

I know you can make dulce de leche really really easily. But I don't care. Ever since Merchant Gourmet sent me a jar of their very own sweet stuff, I haven't bothered. I've just been eating this. With a spoon. At midnight.

Yeah, I could put the dulce de leche on ice cream, or make yummy banoffee pie with it. Maybe even put it on pancakes. But I don't want to. It's too yummy all on its own. I'm fine with the spoon. Even if I eat too much and feel a little bit sick afterwards, somehow it's all OK. I'm in serious food lust with this stuff. And it's only £2.99 which means early onset diabetes should be mine any day now.

It's worth it though, I promise. This stuff is sex in a jar.

  1. There's this one you can get at Borough Market, I can't remember the name of it sadly (unhelpful!), but it's so amazing... last year when I came over to visit I bought a jar to take home to my sister. Unfortunately by the time I caught my flight home I had slowly but surely eaten the entire jar of it, one finger-scoop at a time. Whoopsy daisy.
