Hooray! We've been beavering away with more details for the Sluttery picnic this week. We've got a location (very important, otherwise you'll get directions like 'we're by the big tree').
UPDATE! IT'S RAINING AND COLD! WE'RE MOVING OUR PICNIC TO INDOORS! WE'LL BE AT THE OLD SCHOOL YARD IN LONDON BRIDGE (ON LONG LANE) AND WE'LL BE THERE FROM THREE. YOU CAN STILL BRING ALL OF YOUR FOOD, BUT PLEASE DON'T BRING ANY BOOZE!

SEE YOU THERE!
We'll be there from 3 and we'll be dancing about having fun until it either gets cold or we drink everything. You can come and play from whenever you like. Please bring food and drink, we'll be really sad if everyone arrives empty-handed. We're not making enough food for everyone (although we are going to bring so much yumminess), and picnics are fun when everyone shares. We'll bring the frisbee though. And make sure you've got your pennies for when Amanda from Nonesuchthings arrives with her travelling shop.
Coming by tube? Baker Street is probably the nearest station, but check which lines are running, TFL are intent on ruining our picnic fun by closing half the underground. But we won't be deterred! There's a teeny tiny posibility of showers, but not very much. That said, if it all gets a bit too rainy, we'll find a nearby pub and get some drinks instead. That will be fun too.
We can't wait to meet you guys on Saturday, and hopefully the weather will hold off for us to wear pretty summery dresses. We'll be updating on Facebook and Twitter pages so if we move (with the wonderful hashtag #slutnik if you're on Twitter), or get rained off you'll find out ASAP (you can RSVP here if you like). But we're certain that won't happen. But if it starts looking a bit grey, cross your fingers for us, won't you?
See you Saturday!

I won't be there but I hope loads of people turn up for you! Sounds like a hoot!
ReplyDeleteWe should do a picnic tour and go 'round the entire country! We probably won't be able to do that though. Boo.
