Design Porn: Thomas Paul's Typewriter Laptop Case

As much as I love my gleaming laptop, sometimes I wish I had a rinky-dink retro typewriter that ting-ed at the end of each sentence. I don't, so I'm making it up to myself with Thomas Paul's ever-so-sweet typewriter laptop case.

Sadly, there's no ting. Perhaps I could tape a bicycle bell to my laptop, DIY-style?

  1. Ooh. Pretty! Where's it from? The link doesn't seem to want to work for some reason.

  2. AHA! Actually, you can use a rinky-dink typewriter (good phrase!):

It's a USB typewriter! You can use it like a normal keyboard but its an ACTUAL TYPEWRITER. Amazing no? Sadly its $500.... so... hmm.... but its definitely possible! I dont know how though.

The laptop case is also good though. Nice xxx

  4. I have been working on a similar idea for a new desktop, taking the internals from my old laptop and installing it into an old typewriter I found in a charity shop. unfortunately I'm not technically gifted enough to turn the typewriter into a keyboard.
