Cocktail Hour: White Lady

After being not overly impressed with the gin cocktails in Purl last week (far too strong for me), I decided I'd have a look at another recipe, and I realised I hadn't written anything about the White Lady. Some recipes include an egg white, which I'm often a fan of. But, here's the traditional recipe, so you can tamper with it if you want.

You'll need:
  • 50ml gin
  • 25ml cointreau
  • 25ml lemon juice
Shake it:

Shake the ingredients with ice, strain into a martini glass. If you want a pink lady, add a tiny bit of grenadine. Shake with an egg white if you fancy. You can do all sorts with this drink, so enjoy it.

  1. Christ! If this isn't too strong for you I dread to think what the ones in purl were like!
