Etsy Pick: USB Typewriter

When I was seven, I asked Santa for a typewriter. A Petite 990, to be precise, because of its retro styling and the fact that the ad had the best ad jingle ever, to the tune of Dolly Parton's "9 to 5". My dad very sensibly suggested to Santa that a real machine would be a better investment - that way I could actually learn to type etc etc. Santa prevailed and I got the Petite 990 (and loved it).
When I saw this on Etsy today though, I admit I actually let of a squee of excitement. Yes, it's quite an investment at just under £333, but this Smith-Corona Corsair Deluxe USB Typewriter is not only a "real" machine, it's been reconditioned to be a fully functioning USB keyboard. So something that's mostly now pretty becomes practical once again. How cute would this be in my studio...

  2. My little Macbook looks rather rubbish in comparison. And I love my little Macbook. It just doesn't have type type tappy keys.

Does it go ding? It needs to go ding.
