Wallpaper Wednesday: E.W Moore
My grandparent's house was one of my favourite places when I was a kid. I got my own special little room with books and my aunt's guitar (which I couldn't play) and a little lamp next to the bed. And Thelwell wallpaper. The Thelwell wallpaper in that photo. I can't remember which of my aunt's the room belonged to know, but I loved that wallpaper. Fat jumping horses don't get featured nearly enough in interiors these days.
I was so excited when I found out you could buy this paper from E.W Moore. It's the real thing! They've got all sorts of vintage wall coverings that are really well priced. This cartoon paper is just £23. It's my favourite wallpaper so far.
Thanks to Shibani for telling us about this on our Facebook page!
I used to LOVE these books!
ReplyDeleteI never read the books, I just remember that wallpaper and feeling very pleased the room looked so lovely. I'd count the jumping horses before I went to sleep.
ReplyDeleteI found an abandoned house last month and they had some great wallpaper in the kids rooms. A little worse for wear though! A horsey one

And in the boys room (and this was on every surface including the ceiling!)

OMG take me back to my childhood - I still have my old thelwell books and I now have a little boy who would just love that wallpaper.
ReplyDeleteLoved the Thelwell books! Part of me wishes the wallpaper was in black and white though, like the book illustrations.
ReplyDeleteFound this amazing site when googling Thelwell wallpapers after finding EM Moore by chance. A very productive diversion! Was also a big Thelwell fan and have been having a bit of a wallpaper frenzy just now.
ReplyDeleteI had that wallpaper!
