Design Porn: Cardiff Design Festival

Sometimes, when the planets align in a rare and specific formation, something occurs that is both incredibly interesting to you, interesting to your partner, and programmed for a particularly convenient time!

Take, for example, The Cardiff Design Festival, which is currently running until the 16th October. It’s an annual celebration of design, with a particular focus on talent emerging from Wales, and covering anything from architecture to fashion and hair.

It sounds incredible. There’s a diverse programme of events that have been chosen to ‘inform, inspire and provoke’. I don’t know about you, but I quite like the sound of that. I mean, what will I be provoked to do? It could be a changing day in my life!

I’m particularly *ahem* intrigued by the Oxfam Boutique’s First Birthday Party Fashion Show, on the 14th October - there’s going to be nibbles and cocktails! Eee! What fun!

Some events are ticketed, but many are free, and I think it sounds boy-friendly enough. He’ll probably drag you there, and then you can mince off and look at whatever you want! Not, I must add, that I plan to do that at all. I would never! (I know the BF reads these. I really do plan to mince off.) See you there!
