Right now, I love Whistles. They're not cheap, but their clothes are gorgeous, good quality and, crucially, unlike other fancy labels (*cough* Reiss *cough*), they cut for those of us who run over a bit in the boobs and bum department.
So this simple skater dress may seem pricey at £85 but the cosy cranberry colour (great with browns, blacks and greys) and flattering cut mean you'll be layering it up all the way 'til May. You know, just add wooly tights, boots, a cardie, coat, scarf and hat and you might just be ready to take on the Great British Winter.
oh! more fuel for my whistles love affair. that's three items i must have from their SS11 collection.
ReplyDeletealso - whistles may not be cheap, but you can usually score an excellent bargain in the sales and they regularly offer 20% off vouchers through their mailing lists etc. every little helps...
Honestly - I love 'em. I just bought the black lightning bolt dress in the sale. It was £90 but I'm going to wear it to death (whether it likes it or not). Finally, quirky clothes that are for grown-ups.
ReplyDeleteIt's not my favourite Whistles dress, but I do so adore them. Yet I own NONE of their dresses. This makes me sad.
ReplyDeleteYes. Love this, especially as I am a card-carrying member of the Runneth Over Club.
ReplyDeleteI could definitely see that being the sort of thing you resurrect for several winters and reinvent with different accessories :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! I bought a similar style dress from COS sale reduced to £35 in bright orange but they did black and a few other darker colours.
ReplyDeleteHave been recently braving Whistles and love their sales. Bought some fab dresses for work for £20. bargains!
