Where were we? Oh, yes. Cocktails. The D'Artagnan. One of the very few cocktails to specifically call for Armanac. It's like a cross between a mimosa and the classic champagne cocktail. It's not a strong cocktail, but it's got enough of a kick so you'll be doing Dogtanian impressions before you've even finished your drink. One for all, and all for one!
You'll need:
- 10ml Armanac
- 10ml Grand Marnier
- 15ml orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar syrup (or superfine sugar which will keep your bubbles fizzy)
- Champagne
- Orange peel
Pour the Armanac, Grand Marnier, sugar syrup and orange juice into a mixing glass and stir. Strain into a champagne flute and top up with bubbly. Garnish with orange peel and settle down to watch Dogtanian cartoons.
This sounds absolutely lush!
ReplyDeleteI remember being given a Dogtanion pencil case with fibre-tipped felt pens in when I was little - I received it with the kind of excitement I think maybe you can only feel when you're 8 (without the aid of intoxication of some kind).
ReplyDeleteAh, Dogtanian. I love Dogtanian. Now I'm feeling all nostaligic. Cities of Gold anyone or 80 days around the world?
ReplyDeleteWah! I was just blogging about my favorite cartoon myself.
ReplyDeleteI shall be forewarding this recipe to my musketeer chums for the weekend!
