This blue and cream dress may have totally passed me by had it not been for my friend Laura (also known musically as She Makes War) tweeting a picture of herself twirling about in it. And now I want it. It's a perfect summery sailor stripy sex mix of things that all begin with S.It looks a little bit casual to wear for those smart/casual things that everyone has in Summer. But for BBQs and anywhere you might get grass inbetween your toes it's just the ticket. I love the cap sleeves (always super flattering) and there's a cute little row of buttons going up the side of the bodice. The stripes going in opposite directions stop if from looking like you're going to a fancy dress boat party. But you probably could wear it to a fancy dress boat party too. Just don't wear a sailor hat. Please.
And it's cotton. And it's only £35. Dorothy Perkins, we're going to have to watch out for you. You're getting cool again, aren't you?
