I honestly feel like I should hate everything about these crochet brogues. It's those two words together. I'm really surprised that I can like a crochet brogue. Especially a cream one that's going to be a nightmare to match with anything I own, let alone keep clean.
I don't even wear flat brogues (I don't know why, but they look stupid on my feet). And honestly, I think Domestic Slut Sarah D would get on with these much better than I would and suddenly they'd look wonderful and I'd be a bit jealous.
So they're quirky, they're absolutely not my usual style and it's unlikely I'll even try them on. But I do love them. And on the right person, I think they'll look brilliant.
If you're that person, they're just £27 from Dorothy Perkins.
Wow - those are like the bunny/duck illusion of the shoe world. One minute I look at them and they're hideous, then they're lovely. Confusing!
ReplyDeleteI like them in theory, but there's something about them that makes me think they'd look hideous on me! Plus I can't think of a single thing in my wardrobe that they'd go with, which is odd because I have several pairs of brogues and I love wearing those!
ReplyDeleteI like the SHOES, but can't imagine how I'd wear them. Maybe we need brogue lessons?
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's where I stumble too. I do like them, but they're not my usual style and don't go with anything I own. Brogues never do, they make my feet look funny.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I could pull them off either. For the more crochet brogue-confident among us, they're pretty much identical to ones Topshop have in the sale, I think they're only £15.
ReplyDeleteYup, I love 'em! But then I am a brogue-a-holic..
