I've never bought a very expensive pair of shoes. I own a pair from Kate Kuba slingbacks that would have cost me the same as a small house had I not found them in the sale (I can't actually walk in them, but that doesn't mean I love them any less). But every now and again, I find myself creeping into Expensive Shoesville, and thinking 'maybe I could, just this once'.
Today's 'maybe' shoes are from Chie Mahara and they're a somewhat staggering £230 in John Lewis. I don't even feel like I broke my summer shoes in and already they're going back into their boxes. It's time for Autumn shoes. These block heels are perfect for kicking up leaves in pretty dresses. They're too expensive. I know that. But just like I'm going to spend the whole of autumn hoping that it doesn't get any colder, I'm also going to be hoping for these lovely, gorgeous shoes.
