Wallpaper Wednesday: Columbia Road at Custhom
I didn't think there was anything special about this floral wallpaper when I first saw it on Custhom. It's just flowers. And at £299 for a 10m roll they're darn expensive flowers. But then a Twitter conversation about wallpaper (yes, I have such things) revealed a wonderful secret about it.
The Columbia Road paper is actually heat sensitive! It uses something called thermochromic ink and hides secret images that only appear when heat is applied. You can picture me now just running all over my living room with a hairdryer, can't you? I could wait for the radiators to come on, and use wall-mounted lights but that sounds less fun. Then once it's cold, the secret images disappear like magic. MAGIC.
This isn't just any wallpaper, this is magic wallpaper.
