Autumnal weather is gloriously unpredictable. I might lay my outfit out before bed, believing the weatherman's prediction of sunny spells, only to wake up to blustery winds and a distinct nip in the air. Autumn requires clothes I can layer at the last minute. I want skirts that look good with sheer or woollen tights, and tops that I can wear with a cropped or chunky knit cardigan.
