Perfectly Posh Pinnies
Some days nothing beats answering the door to the postie to discover that, in amongst all the junk mail and bills, there is a perfect packaged parcel with your name on it. Seriously, never underestimate the joy that this can bring into an otherwise dreary day. So I was delighted to have my day interrupted yesterday morning to sign for package from the lovely folk at Posh Paraphernalia who had kindly offered to send me one of their posh pinnies to road test.
My raspberry striped half pinny, arrived so prettily packaged, boxed and gift wrapped, that I just about managed to resist the temptation to tear the parcel open like a small child on it's birthday. The pinny itself was beautifully made using high quality fabrics and was perfectly finished. With its lovely long ties, full skirt and cute pocket it definitely met my rather high standards and expectations for handmade goods and believe me, after spending many years designing and making stuff myself, I am super picky. In fact I would go as far as to say that a Posh Pinny, which effortlessly combines function with aesthetic, is the perfect gift for anyone who likes to add a bit of glamour to their domestic activities.
The half pinny retails at £30 and full aprons, pictured above and available in a range of colours and patterns for both men and women, cost £35 each. You can even buy a matching mini pinny for you little helpers for £20. Gift wrapping, which will definitely result in extra brownie points, costs £2 and delivery charges start at £3.95 for standard signed for first class postage in the UK. And if you don't fancy a pinny they also have a range of oven gloves and tea cosies that might catch your eye instead.
I really like half-pinnies. And I like that these basically look like nice dresses.
