Lemon zest and letterpress

I've been swooning over these letterpress cookie cutters since Zoe posted about them on Conversation Pieces. I love all things to do with the letterpress (and typewriters and stamps and basically anything wordy) But oh no!  I was too late and they're all sold out on Firebox! Luckily, you can also buy these brilliant cookie cutters over at the The Letteroom.

The cutters are double sided. Fire you cut out the shapes, and then you can cut out the letter shapes. I want to try out more biscuit recipes this year (gingerbread is top of the list) and these are perfect. They're not exactly a bargain - they're £17.50. They are cheaper on Firebox at £14.99, but I might just be too impatient to wait for them to be back in stock. I might also get so inspired that I sign up for a letterpress course at the Bridewell Printing Workshop.

  1. Not to blow my own trumpet (too much at least), but I'm frequently told that my gingerbread recipe makes the best gingerbread ever.

I blogged it here, if you want to have a look!

  2. I've got these! (they were a gift) It's incredibly fiddley to get icing into the letter indents. So time consuming in fact they will probably only be used for very special occasions!
