Last week you snapped up Yvonne Ellen's ceramics before I had chance to buy myself a DJing owl butter dish. I'm guessing you're going to do the same with the Matt Furie ceramics range for the London art collective Jaguar Shoes. Matt lives in San Francisco, where he 'collects toys and draws nasty, funny creatures'. Like this wooly mammoth cup and saucer:
This dog teapot is creepy, but kind of awesome. There's more than a little Rory Dobner about it, don't you think?
I *think* this is a lizard riding a jackal poised to thwack someone around the head with his spiky morning star. All milk jugs will pale in comparison from this day forward.
If I had a sugar bowl, I'd want it to be one with a picture of a creepy bird resembling Freddy Kruger on it.
Prices for Furie's weirdly compelling world of heebie-jeebies start at just £16 in the Jaguar Collective Shop. Save me a mammoth teacup, please. I don't want another DJing owl incident.
