Now that I'm moving house, I've decided I'm in need of some new pans for my new kitchen. Is that too grown up? Don't worry, I also want a juke box. I don't really get excited about pots and pans - they're obviously very handy for whipping up dinner, but they don't often wow in the design stakes.
Le Creuset does, though. Always. I like these teal pans so much. Once you've bought Le Creuset, you're pretty set in the kitchen department. They're cast iron, not just coated with a non-stick coating - it lasts. The handles are cast iron so you can put them in the oven and under the grill.
More importantly, they're TEAL. The loveliest colour for any kitchenware. I couldn't ever recommend Le Creuset if it didn't last - the pans start at £60 at House of Fraser - but they're an investment. A lovely, teal investment that will always make an excellent omelette.
Gorgeous. I'm trying to build up a collection of teal Le Creuset with birthday and Christmas presents - so far I've got a small rectangular dish, a large rectangular dish and a square dish, and for my birthday last year I got an AMAZING shallow casserole dish thing that's fantastic for risotto. I'm in love with it.
ReplyDeleteI wish the colours went well together - you can't really buy half red and half blue as the shades are different.
DeleteFor those on a tighter budget, the Le Creuset store in Swindons Outlet Village is amazing! Almost perfect goods at less than half the normal price. Mine are all in slate grey :-)
ReplyDeleteI find them all too heavy when empty and doubly so when full, must be my weak wrists!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe go for the little ones, or the casserole dishes with two handles?
DeleteI second outlet village Le Creuset shops! Bicester Village is the way forward!
ReplyDeleteOh well done, you thrifty things.
ReplyDeleteOr tkmaxx and home sense stock a good selection at cheaper prices :)
ReplyDeleteGood God, I need these pans. I don't even have a kitchen, but I need them!
ReplyDeleteBeware Le Creuset pans - they're heavy enough empty but once they are filled they can be unmoveable.
ReplyDeleteThey look great but if you are a cook and plan on using them, rather than displaying them, then they are impractical ime
