Good Heavens! Divine Drinking Yoghurt

Nice things in cute bottles? YES PLEASE! I'm in that pre-payday slump where you're counting every penny, and then suddenly wondering where they've all gone and why the hell did you and your friend have two bottles of prosecco on a Tuesday night? So, anything that I'm buying now needs to work doubly hard and offer lots more treat value for the money.

Good Heavens! are a boutique dairy over in Middlesex who have been making yoghurt for 20 years. They very kindly sent the office a selection of their drinking yoghurts - four organic, six non-organic - for us to try: I love the name (it makes me think of the divine Joyce Grenfell) and the bottles are really cute. A couple that we'd expected to be sensational fell very flat (the vanilla - no. The salted caramel - average toffee) but the fruity ones were good, and the apple and pear was outstanding.

Did you ever have those French-set lemon yoghurts as a kid? I adored those! Lemon yoghurt is one of the most delicious treats you can have so unsurprisingly the one I'm recommending you try, is the lemon and poppyseed. Huh! Muh! Nuh!

I'm a sucker for the combination of lemon and poppyseed (oh Starbucks skinny muffins. They're not skinny when you eat two) so the idea of having them in a yoghurt was a winner. It's delicious, the bottle looks gorgeous, and I felt like I'd had a really nice treat. Yum. (They use English blue poppy seeds. I didn't even know that was a thing.)

Good Heavens! Divine Drinking Yoghurt costs £1.69/£2.10 and is stocked in Tesco, Selfridges, Camden Food Company, Harrods, and - wonderfully - the British Museum

  1. I love lemon and poppy seed muffins - having them in beverage form sounds almost inspired.
