Sluttery Travels: The Old Inn Bed & Breakfast, Kent

It rarely occurs to me to look at hotels and B&Bs in Kent. I'm in south east London - I practically live in Kent. If I fall asleep on the train after boozing then that's where I end up. It's not my first choice for a holiday destination, but having seen the inside of The Old Inn in Wittersham, I may need to rethink that.

There are only two bedrooms in the B&B, but both are really quite special. Here's the double room:

What is it about a bath in a hotel bedroom? I wouldn't put a bath in my bedroom at home, but there's something super sexy about having one in a hotel. I'm properly dressed for about ten minutes when I stay in hotel. The rest of the time it's PJs and snuggly hotel bathrobes. I won't actually leave the room if I can get away with it.

This is the suite. It's absolutely huge. The bed is kingsize, but I don't actually want to share it with anyone (especially not any of those duvet stealing types).

Look at all of the extra space I don't need at all! Hurrah!

Breakfast is included in your stay and it sounds excellent without being overly fancy - cherry roasted tomatoes, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs - and it's probably one of the best value hotels I've seen. Prices start at £75 for the double room (£65 if it's just you), and it's just £85 for the suite.

    1. Yep, I've realised that being an hour away from such a pretty holiday place is a brilliant idea. No traffic and trains and commuters to deal with on the way back and it's close enough for spontaneous nights away.
