Zara's Ladylike Blouses

When I was busy rummaging about in Topshop and sulking that it was all for teenage girls, Zara went and got really pretty. Maybe I've got more grown up, or they've got more fun with their classy pieces, but they're getting it bang on for me at the moment. Especially when it comes to their blouses.

This pleated blouse is so lovely. It's got the perfect amount of ridiculousness going on. The pattern along the bottom is gorgeous and I love puffy sleeve pleats (how does one iron these, please?) It's only £29.99.

Owls and studs = sexy shirts. Who knew? This is also £29.99. About 17p per owl. Or £3 per stud.

Ooh, this contrast blouse is cute! I'm rubbish at being dressed up if I'm not wearing a dress. This blouse will solver that for the princely sum of £25.99.

Ignore the skirt, the skirt is ridiculous. Instead, notice that the blouse has leopards on it. LEOPARDS. Thirty pounds is thirty pounds well spent if it goes on leopards.

  1. I tried on a few of these last week, because owls and studs are what domestic sluts are made of. They're very loose fitting whereas I prefer a more fitted waist, so I reluctantly put them back. Lovely material though - nice work, Zara.

    1. And leopards. We're at least 30% leopard print.

    2. Also unicorn. And kitten. We're an odd mix.

    3. Also, Mario Kart and crisps.

  2. The problem I've found with Zara at the moment is that although their tops are beautiful they're all really see-through! And trying to find underwear/a nice but cheap camisole that isn't obvious is proving rather tricky :-(

    1. These ones actually aren't see-through - they're sheer, but you wouldn't need a camisole. (Admittedly, I tried them on at 9am pre-caffeine, but I couldn't see my bra through them.)

  4. I have bought a blouse a week from Zara's for the last two months. I have the leopard blouse and many others. They do run a little big but I am not busty so a XS works great for me. Zara has been a bit hit for me. Some of the blouses are a little see through so I keep these for the weekends.
