Shop in the Spotlight: Teapigs

I don't know about you, but I don't think I can ever drink too much tea. It's just when I drink the same type all day, by approximately 12.04pm I'm starting to get a serious case of tea-fever (It's like cabin fever, but with tea. Obviously.)

My need to mix up my tea-habit has led me to start trying every type of tea I can get my hands on. Luckily, Teapigs do about a bazillion different varieties that should keep me entertained for some time. Also, their 'tea temple' design allows them to pack whole leaf tea but in a bag design, so it's as easy to make as regular stuff but with much fuller flavours.

My favourite is the popcorn tea. Like sugar puffs in liquid form, this feels a bit naughty but is only about 3 calories per 100ml. It will also stop me snacking (I hope). It's £4.49 per 15 bags. That's a lot less than fifteen Snickers.

Equally brilliant is the chocolate flake tea - it's subtly chocolatey like when you've been dunking sneaky biscuits in your brew. It's £3.99 per fifteen - not bad for a fortnight of evening treats for me.

They have also got me craving iced tea with this liquorice and mint blend - I imagine I'd feel a lot better if I went a little easier on the cocktails and drank this over ice the next time I have a sunny day in the garden. It's £4.49 per fifteen bags.

Their range is much vaster than this - their chilli chai and super-powerful matcha tea are making me very excited - and their postage is reasonable too. In fact, it's free over £35, and I can't imagine it will be hard for me to spend that much if I'm stocking up.

  1. Oooh I've been wanting to get a Matcha Tea for at home.... and I've been meaning to try Tea Pigs for ages. I got a little sample box of their Jasmine Pearls in a goody bag last night, and they look very exciting!

And no, you can't have too much tea!

  4. My favourites are their camomile (whole flowers - so pretty and delicious!) and their lemongrass (seriously cleansing and deliciously citrussy). Highly recommended!

  6. If you're a fan of interesting tea you should check out Yumchaa - I own so much of their tea it needs it's own cupboard!
