Wallpaper Wednesday: Oh Sweetie

Despite not having a particularly sweet tooth these days, I do still love pick 'n' mix. I like the whole ritual of picking the sweets. I get to choose my favourites and ignore the horrid pink prawns and cola bottles. Then I go to the counter, knowing that I've chosen too many jelly spiders and spent too much money and getting excited when they're weighed. When I was a kid, I loved running to the post office after school and getting a quarter of sweets in a little white paper bag that would disintegrate in your pocket.

Kate Usher is obviously a pick 'n' mix fan and she's been inspired by old fashioned sweetie shops in the designing of her adorable Oh Sweetie wallpaper. (I also like the one when she was possibly inspired by Meerkat Manor.)

It looks like the wallpaper in Willy Wonka that tastes nice when you lick it (actually, that's a thing now). The paper is available directly from Kate's website and it's £150 per roll. You can get a lot of quarters of cola bottles for that, but my goodness it's pretty. It's the perfect kitchen wallpaper.
