Yay or Nay: Kandee Contrast Shoes

When it comes to shoes, I'm all about bright, bold and a little bit ridiculous. That's exactly what these contrast shoes from Kandee are. I only own two pairs of black shoes (although that might have something to do with my wardrobe staples of cute dresses and opaque tights). Basically, if I can get away with wearing hot pink heels, I'll do it.

But do I want to wear these colour contrasting shoes? I'm not so sure.

You know what? I think I love the idea more than I love the execution. Give me stupid contrasting colours, by all means. The more colours the better. But these are too high, the tones too bright, the patent too tacky. They could make you look like a clown stripper and that not something I ever thought I'd type.

Each colourway is £56 at the moment (rather than an eye-watering initial price of £140) and I'm curious to see which side of the fence you guys are sitting on. I think I'm saying nay, but if Kurt Geiger had done them, I reckon I'd be all over them.

  2. I'm reminded of cheap neapolitan ice-cream. I don't think that's good thing.

    1. I really love cheap ice cream. Reminds me of visiting my nan and granddad at the weekend.

I don't think that's helping me decide on the shoes.

  3. I love the shoes, especially the pink & yellow ones, but these shoes are way too high for me to ever me able to wear them, the lady's feet look very uncomfortable in them!

    1. She does! I almost didn't write about them for that reason. But I'm still really drawn to them.

  4. Love the colours. If you'd described these to me I'd have definitely said yes. I mean they're neon.

But yes, there's just something that makes them not work. *wonders if she can paint a pair of her own shoes in those neon paints in the craft box*

  9. These shoes are just vulgar, naff, and tacky. I'm trying to be subtle here. But no. Really. No.

  10. Look at my favourite kind of yoghurts, right: http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/images/ne/nestle-munch-bunch-mega-double-up-layered.jpg

Now you might understand why I am a bit in love with the first pair of shoes you mentioned. And the heel doesn't put me off - I wear ones like that every now and again and as long as you're not in a hurry it's not too bad.

Not *so* keen on the second and third pair, but if Munch Bunch Double Ups launch an orange & kiwi and Raspberry & Apple flavour then who knows...
