Design Porn: Kyle Bean

Ever since buying A Guide for the Unlucky as a birthday present, I've been a huge fan of Kyle Bean's work. He works with some rather impressive names and graduated from Brighton University in 2009. He calls himself a designer and illustrator who 'makes stuff out of stuff' and I don't think there's a better example of stuff made out of stuff than the piece titled 'What Came First?'

Yep, that's a chicken made from eggshells. I can't image how long it must have taken to put together (and how many poached eggs you'd have to eat to get all of the shells). It's really quite something, isn't it?

Sadly, you can't buy egg chickens from Kyle (I don't think he's got that much time on his hands, I bet this was a bugger to put together). But you can buy a signed limited edition print of the work, and that's just £22. It probably won't answer the question for you, but it will cause lots of chicken discussion while you cook your eggs in the morning.

  1. A chicken made of eggshells?! That is amazing. I definitely want a print of THAT!
