Sluttishly Snug: Gabrielle Vary
Summer is done, isn't it? It got cold. I'm wearing a jumper dress. I'm tempted to snuggle under the living room duvet. Discovering Sussex-based knitwear designer Gabrielle Vary couldn't have come at a better time.
There's something about Vary's designs that feel a little bit winter beach-y. You can tell they're inspired by long walks along the English coast on a blustery day. This scarf is such a glorious splash of colour. Even most grey of days couldn't help but be brightened by that yellow.
YES. Handwarmers. Every shivery writers' best friend in winter. Vary's methods of knitting are traditional and everything is hand-made, but her designs feel fresh and modern. And snug. They look super snug.
I've got my eye on this throw. It's not quite hats and gloves and scarves weather, but it is getting a little nippier in the evening. Let's wrap up warm and go and watch a sunset.
Prices for Vary's knitwear varies (sorry) but the scarves start around £60. You can also buy one of her gorgeous cushions if you're not feeling the cold just yet.
