Design Porn: Anne Morgan

Nautical themed pieces are usually all navy and stripes, but Anne Morgan's Coast range takes the idea of ropes and knots and turns them into wearable pieces. I still want to wear an eyepatch and talk like a pirate, but there's definitely a class to Anne's jewellery. I love this knot necklace. It's just £55.

This matching knot bracelet is so cute. Inspired be the Welsh coast (Anne lives by the coast in Penarth), the range is made from cotton and linen rope.

I love how simple the designs are. The knots keep the jewellery looking bold but they're still totally wearable. You can buy Anne's pieces directly from her online shop.

  3. Anon comments being rude about independent designers are totally my favourite.

  6. I think it is disturbing to see someone with what looks like a noose around her neck

  7. The small necklace is pretty, but I'm not a fan of the big one, unless it was with an all-out, 'statement', full-on nautical catwalk-type outfit.

  9. I don't think we've ever written about jewellery that's divided so many people! And let's not forget, I also showed you this:

I think they're much more disturbing than a bit of rope. Love how divisive bold jewellery can be.

  11. This is a figure of eight knot a noose would look very different. http://www.bankruptcylitigationblog.com/250px-Knot-hangmans-noose(1).jpg.
Theres always going to be a statement piece in a range and often there are more wearable ones. The clasp is hand made so not mass produced overseas. Raw materials add up! Magnets in the bracelet and some of the necklaces make wearing easier.
But hey, if thats not your bag theres plenty of silver/gold jewellery still in production!
