Wallpaper Wednesday: Kate Usher's Aeronauts
We're embracing the quirky stuff on the website today, we've had Lego mugs and parrot headpieces (look, we talked about handwashing yesterday, that was very grown up and sensible) and now I'm all about silly wallpaper.
Kate Usher's wallpaper always makes me smile. The Circus! Sweets! Turtles! All brilliant things that should absolutely go on walls. BUT I think I'm most taken with her new Aeronaut design might be my favourite. There's something just a little bit Around the World in 80 Days about it. Remember?
That's intro isn't as good as I remember. Damn. Moving on.
Zeppelins and hot air balloons and all sorts of contraptions flying high above the clouds. There are fantastical and historical references in the design (no mention of Up, alas) and the paper is the 'paste the wall' kind. All papers should be, it's a mega faff to put them up. The papers are £150 a roll. Sigh. I'll just have to go back to dreaming of adventures in hot air balloons instead.
Oh I still enjoyed watching that intro! And now I want to watch Dogtanian and The Mysterious Cities Of Gold!! Really love that wallpaper, it reminds me of the Philip Reeve books http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0435130536/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=103612307&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=1407131273&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=1EQ95YDF173G7KVJRBJV
