Geekery: Star Trek Kitchen Gadgets

I love Star Trek. I'm a fully fledged Original Series, Next Generation, Voyager and Enterprise fan (not Deep Space Nine, I couldn't get into that). I get tense whenever someone in a red jumper joins the landing party, want a pet Trible and had a wee tear in my eye when Q made Data laugh. Yes, I'm beyond help. That's why I'm so excited by this pizza cutter from Firebox. Shaped like the USS Enterprise from the original series, it's a brilliant gift for the Trekkie in your life (me) and it's officially licensed. It's £24.99, which sounds steep, but did I mention IT'S IN THE SHAPE OF THE USS ENTERPRISE?! Cheap at twice the price!

There's Klingons on the starboard bow! If you need a glass of wine to go go with your pizza (but watch out, Klingons are mean drunks) and this Klingon Bird of Prey is actually a corkscrew. It's £15.99 plus £5.99 delivery on Amazon. Just make sure the cloaking device has been deactivated before you put it away or you'll never find it again.

I've been working on some Star Trek cooking puns, but all I can come up with are 'set phasers to yum' and 'the kneads of the many outweigh the kneads of the few'. If you need some inspiration to come up with you own (infinitely better) puns, this insignia apron has lots of the most popular Star Trek quotes. It's £19, down from £21.50 over on Cafe Press. With this apron to protect your clothes, you really can 'bake it so.' (No? That was my best one.)

I think I've saved the best until last, it's only logical. Oh. My. Goodness. It's a Mr Spock oven glove! This is possibly the most amazing oven glove you could ever have in your kitchen. Plus, if you can't manage the Vulcan salute yourself, you can fake it with this glove. It's $14.99 from ThinkGeek who are based in America, but they'll ship to the UK for $9.64, which comes to around £16 in total.
