Etsy Pick: Oh Gosh, Cindy

My newest Etsy obsession is the Netherlands-based Oh Gosh, Cindy, the nom-de-paintbrush of Cindy Lesman, a recent fine art graduate whose watercolours depict film and TV characters and some of their most famous quotes. She's only been selling on Etsy for a month, so expect brilliant additions to her range of prints in the near future.

I think I can quote Clueless word-for-word - it's one of my all-time favourite films. This Cher print features one of her classic (say it in her voice) censorious faces. I give it two very enthusiastic thumbs up. RELATED: I really thought Travis Birkenstock would fall in love with me when I grew up. As far as I know, it hasn't happened yet.

I'm going through a bit of a pre-makeover-Ally-Sheedy-in-The-Breakfast-Club phase at the moment, mainly because I really need to cut my fringe and I'm prone to random squeaking. If only it was cold enough to wear my parka, I'd be all set. I'm never going to find myself channelling Claire, but that doesn't mean I don't love this Molly Ringwald print

If you've missed your midterms and flunked shampoo, this Frenchy from Grease print is the thing for you!

I love The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Did you know that it holds the record for the longest-running theatrical release in movie history? Yup - 38 years after its premiere, it's still on limited release (Fox never bothered pulling it from cinemas), which is why we get to go and dress up as Columbia and goof about at midnight screenings all the time. Celebrate this wonderful fact with a Frank-N-Furter print. There's a Magenta one, too!

This Mary Poppins print is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, and it's such a good adage to live by. "Be vague but exciting" is my motto. "I never explain anything" might have to join it.

"You know my code. Hoes before bros. Uteruses before duderuses. Ovaries before brovaries."

Fans of Parks and Recreation will love this Leslie Knope print, featuring the show's waffle-loving feminist lead character. This quote is amazing.

All the prints here are £8.77 each (weird Euro conversion rate ahoy!), and postage to the UK is just over £3, no matter how many prints you order. Oh, and that watermark you see in the images above WON'T appear on your actual prints, so Mary Poppins won't have OHGOSHCINDY scrawled across her shoulder after all.

Which print is your favourite? I'm about to buy the Cher Horowitz one.

  1. I honestly thought Travis Birkenstock was going to fall in love with me when I grew up too! I even went out with a guy I think on the sole basis that he looked like Travis (we didn't fall in love).

I then went out with a boy who looked exactly like Christian (we didn't fall in love either). I then realised I should probably stop going out with boys solely because they looked like characters from Clueless.

Though if Paul Rudd showed an interest I might have to discount that rule...

    1. Paul Rudd is just a wonderful, wonderful man, isn't he? I love him. Totally worth breaking your rule for.

Clueless was on the telly last night, and as I flicked through the channels, Travis's face popped up and I found myself shouting "OHMYGODTRAVIS" loudly at the TV. Sigh. He'll always have a special place in my heart.
