Tee and Cake's Periodic Table Jumper

Slutettes, meet my new favourite garment. Tee and Cake's Periodic Table sweatshirt is £35 from Topshop, and it's already entertained me for hours. When I opened my delivery, the first element to catch my eye was Arsenic (you can spy it there at the bottom left, it's yellow). I then sat down to do the crossword and lo and behold, this clue was staring at me: 'Element No. 33 (7)'. The answer? ARSENIC. Isn't that just a weird, spooky thing? So you see - this jumper helps you with The Guardian crossword. Or foreshadows your death by poisoning. Either way, mighty useful.

It's the sort of vaguely bonkers thing I love, and it makes me cheerful. And I am not alone. In a review entitled 'Birth of the Universe Jumper', one happy shopper says: "Both internally fluffy and scientifically bold, this wondrous jumper captures the simple complexities of life with pleasing quality. With the marriage of these elements it just reminds me that anything is possible, always. Multi-joy."

This is the best review of a periodic table jumper I HAVE EVER READ.

This is the back view. You're literally covered in elements.

What do you reckon? Do you love it or loathe it? I won't be upset if it's the latter, promise.

Thanks to former Slut Sarah for tweeting about this, and making me £35 poorer.

  2. Ridiculously awesome! It makes me want to go out and find periodic table fabric and make a dress out of it....
