Cream of the Crop: Make Your Own Brit-Stitch Bag
Cast your minds back to earlier this year, and those icy days of February. One thing that kept me cheery through the winter that never ended was discovering the colourful designs of Brit-Stitch. I may have spent a substantial amount of time over the following months deliberating what colour bag I should get.
It seems appropriate that, as winter descends once more, my days can be brightened with the knowledge that Brit-Stitch have launched 'Make Your Own' version of two of their classic styles.
Go onto Brit-Stitch's shiny new website, and they'll supply you with a simple template for both their Half pint and Milkman designs. Then it's just the business of picking from eight different colours to adorn the straps, body, buckles and sides of each bag, and clicking to add them onto the template. You can use up to three colours on each bag in total - including all kinds of shades, from a smart 'skydiver' blue to a pretty 'chintz rose'.
The pricing is pretty reasonable too. It's only a tenner extra on top of their usual prices meaning you can pick up a personalised Half pint for £80 and a Milkman for £100. While they're not quite pint of milk prices, it's a very good deal for this additional service. I also know - whatever the weather might decide to throw at me - my bag will last me well through this winter and hopefully for many more years to come.
