Design Porn: Roald Dahl T-shirts
This Matilda T-shirt might be the best T-shirt I've ever bought. It's this copy of Matilda that I read countless times when I was little (and when I was grown up). Whichever copy you read, one thing was certain: Matilda was the coolest heroine. She made reading cool. And convinced me that if I read enough, I'd gain magical powers.
Maybe your favourite was The BFG. Sophie was pretty cool too.
Hands up who wanted to feed horrible people worms are reading The Twits? Me me me! (Hands up who can wear this colour yellow without looking jaundiced. Not me.)
Fantastic Mr Fox wasn't one of my favourites, but I adore Quentin Blake's cover illustration.
Matilda might be my childhood heroine, but George was without a doubt my hero. George's Marvellous Medicine was responsible for me making many a potion in the bathroom (I'm really, really sorry Mum. I promise I never touched the bleach). I didn't feed it to my gran, though. Honest.
You can buy all of these from the always brilliant Truffle Shuffle. They're £19.99 each. I want them all.
God DAMMIT! You just knew I was going to go and buy those. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI love truffleshuffle - the perfect place for t-shirts to remind me of my younger days when life was just much simpler. A favorite of mine is Round The Twist and Sharkey and George = AWESOME.
