Win! Fever dress from Aspire Style
One the 11th day of Christmas, Domestic Sluttery gave to me, a lovely dress from Aspire Style.
Oh my goodness I want this dress.
It's the Domestic Sluttery Christmas party tonight and if I had an ounce of sense I'd have snapped this up last week so I could wear it tonight. Isn't it pretty? Just the perfect amount of sexy. It's pretty and dressy without looking like you're going to a wedding. Perfect.
The lovely people at Aspire Style have said one of you can have one! Hurrah! See, I told you they were lovely. They've got the dress in sizes 8-14 and they've put the black ones aside just for us (although if you like, you can buy it in pink for £79). All you have to do is leave us comment telling us where you'd wear this lovely dress.
This is our last competition before the final extravaganza tomorrow so you've only got a few chances to snap up a prize! As always you get an extra entry for retweeting, but we've noticed some of you are doing it more than once. Don't be spammy! You've got until midnight to win, unless I decide to keep the dress myself.
(I've just had word that I'm absolutely definitely not allowed to do that.)
Good luck everyone!
The small print: The competition will close at midnight on 15th December. Don't forget to leave your name so we know who you are! Don't worry if you don't win, as take it from us, we have the MOTHER of all competitions coming up tomorrow! We're not allowed to enter our own competitions, but I'd wear this dress to the shops if it was mine. Wish I could enter. Not fair. My dresses aren't as pretty as this one.
I would wear this dress to my own New Years party. Its gonna be a glam affair. We're holding out the olive branch and have invited hubby's ex, so i shall just die if i dont look better than HER ! She wont stand a chance if i win this drop dead gorgeous dress.
ReplyDeleteRTing @paulinepppp
Oooh - pretty! I'd wear it on New Years Eve, even though I don't know where I'm going yet and it could end up being a sticky-floored East End pub...
ReplyDeleteMy birthday is on the 3rd Jan so it tends to be overshadowed by Xmas and New Year. So I would wear this lovely dress all day on my birthday to cheer me up. Even if I end up drinking tea in my back garden - I will look fabulous doing so. Because it's my birthday.
ReplyDeletex
I would wear mine to my choir concert. We all have to wear black so it is always a goal to outswank the ladies in other ways. Not that it is a competition....
ReplyDeleteI would wear it on Christmas Day because it's my birthday and it's nice to look pretty at Christmas, because there might be family photographs and I'm vain.
ReplyDeleteJacqui
I love dresses that show off my waist. This one has a great shape.
ReplyDeleteI would wear it to my friends' annual Boxing Day bash, accessorised with pearls and maybe even long gloves.
I would like to wear it in front of Tiffany's, eating a croissant and staring through the window. Unfortunately I reckon these days that just makes you crazy rather than chic.
ReplyDeleteI would give it to my daughter who has decided her tomboy phase is over and now wants to be girly! What a beautiful dress to show off to her brothers on xmas day and take them all by surpirse! (Though no doubt her granny will cry!)
ReplyDeleteI have nowhere to wear it because i am poor for forever, but i do love it so that i would hang it on my wall and admire it until such time as i could take it out dancing
ReplyDelete(am going to RT now @Liz_Sara)
I would wear it to pick my partenr up from the airport when he flies 500 miles to be with me for christmas then take him for a romantic meal. I think he would be happy to see me in that dress
ReplyDeleteI would wear it to work, why not? It's fabulous, the main reason being to impress my secret crush. It should at least guarantee a coffee and cake date!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress. I would have to wear it on New Years Day to start the year off with my resolutions to look glam this year. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is such a pretty dress *sigh*. I would wear this around the house, with heels as well of course (and a perfect headband), sipping wine and sweeping (a little bit like cinderella)
ReplyDeleteNB exchange 'heels' with 'glass slippers'
x
If I won this dress I would be tempted to set a date and wear it as my 'going away dress'. We have been engaged for 4 years, and I think this dress has what it takes to make me feel gorgeous enough to be a bride :)
ReplyDelete@iridessa76
I would wear this dress on New years eve for my friends to admire, then next year at my Mum's 70 th birthday party in March and her Golden Wedding in September for all my family to admire. The rest of the time I will hang it in my bedroom for me to admire.
ReplyDeleteI`d wear this beautiful dress for my husband's works New Years Eve party. Last year just as we walk through the door my daughter was sick all down me - and I spent the rest of the night in my husbands vest :-( I`d love to show them just how glamour I could look - and this would be the perfect dress to do just that!
ReplyDeleteGoing to the ballet with hubby in the new year to see Swan Lake at Sadlers Wells in London no less....
ReplyDeleteA truly magical evening deserves a dreamy dress to mark the occasion...
sighhh!
I would wear it at my daughters graduation from University. Hopefully she will be as proud of me as I am of her!
ReplyDeleteI would wear it to mine and my hubby's first date night since having our gorgeous little boy. I think that is the ultimate 'Yummy Mummy' dress!
ReplyDeleteAlethea
I would wear this dress everywhere. I might even consider sleeping in it!
ReplyDeleteHaving just lost several stone and lived like a near recluse, I would love to come out on Christmas Eve in this dress - I have no clothes that fit me and certainly no money to buy them with. I would feel like Cinderella.
ReplyDeleteDeborah Fulton-Mellor
I'd wear it to the shops. Grocery shops. Why save all the pretty things for "going out"? It would give all the hags down at the local something to gnash their teeth over.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to become a little more girly and glamorous of late, and this dress would take care of the whole project single-handed, so I'd wear it EVERYWHERE.
ReplyDeleteI would wear this dress to the Boxing Day Christmas celebrations that my boyfriend's dad and stepmum are having, as I've only met them once before and need to impress them...!
ReplyDelete@carina_ x
This dress looks like the perfect dress for doing the hoovering in. Genuinely, I enjoy putting on a beautiful shift dress and my favourite pair of vintage heels, a slick of pink pastel lipstick and my favourite pinny and hoovering the hell out of my carpets.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, I'd definitely be wearing it similarly in my housewife-without-a-husband way whilst distributing cookies to the local urchins that hang around outside the SPAR.
I'd ask for the size 12 and know it will be my inspiration to have lost 2 stone in time to wear it to my son's barmitzvah party in May
ReplyDeleteI would wear this dress everywhere! It's too nice to only just get out from time to time. If I had the dress tomorrow I'd wear it to work for my last day before breaking up for the christmas break, skive off and have a tea party in the canteen with some homemade mince pies.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't wear this dress. Not because it's not amazing, but because I already have it (but in blue) Still, I'm entering the competition because if I won I would give the dress to my fabulous friend Carys who is getting married on Saturday. She's had a really stressful year and I'd love for her to have this to wear on her honeymoon. She hasn't had much of a chance to go honeymoon shopping either so it would be doubly appreciated!
ReplyDeleteOh and to all of you who have said you'd wear this dress to do the hoovering - GOOD CALL. I really ought to do that!
@dolly_clackett
Wow, lovely dress! I think it would be the perfect outfit for a swanky afternoon tea. Luckily we're having one in January! Rock on!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress!! I think I would wear it on Christmas Eve, the night when I meet all my friends from home at our local pub. I would be hideously overdressed, but to be honest, that's often the case... (@carmelitaduck on Twitter)
ReplyDeleteOooh love it! I would wear it for a nice meal with the boy, as he's only used to seeing me in Primark's finest...
ReplyDeleteOMG! what a fabby dress! I certainly Aspire it ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's far to good to leave it in a wardrobe; as a soon to be single lady, I'd wear it to every party, function and social networking event that I got an invite to. Not only to turn mens' heads, but to signify that I am Miss Independent Chic. Have to compliment it with minimum accessories as it's a stunner, maybe small black hat and heels. Oh! and of course my Coco Chanel ;-)
@designgrid (Twitter)
I would wear it on Christmas Day - I'm working this Christmas so I can't go home to see my family (I'm a student). My boyfriend is coming down to make Christmas lovely for me, so this would be the icing on the cake! I would make him wrap it up and put it under the tree for me :) I would wear it for a walk around the park on Christmas day :) Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI would wear this dress at my forthcoming birthday party. My birthday is on Weds 6 January - when everyone is back at work, knackered, broke, partied-out and on a health kick. But my fabulous friends still come out with me to get tipsy. I usually go to a cosy pub, so this dress may look a bit out of place, but it's MY BIRTHDAY so I wouldn't care!
ReplyDeleteI would wear it when I go dancing. Normally I go in jeans and look like a tomboy, but turning up in this would make everyone stop and stare!
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE that, I'd wear it all the time, I've no parties planned for Christmas but that doesn't matter. I'd wear it to work (I work from home) and I'd wear it to the pub :) I'd wear it until people told me I was smelly and I really should wash my clothes, but I reckon I'd get a good couple of weeks wear before anyone plucked up the courage to tell me :)
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it on Christmas day for the first Christmas I'm spending with my boyfriend's family to give me confidence and stop me feeling nervous. I'd feel so amazing in that dress, I wouldn't be able to be scared. And then I'd wear it to Formal next term and surprise people, not (as previously) by wearing a coloured dress, but by wearing black just like everyone else, but in such a very gorgeous form.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely dress!I'd wear it for my fortieth birthday, being black it should hopefully make me look a little slimmer.
ReplyDelete@winteremma
I'd try to keep this for special occasions, but ... I just know I'd wear it first at the family Christmas lunch, then...I'd wear it again in the evening. (I'd have to take it off for bed, but ...) There's Boxing Day when friends come to lunch, then there's New Year's Eve in town...
ReplyDeleteSigh, I wonder what our dry cleaner's holiday hours are!
I'd wear out on the evening I finally get a job offer, I would be drinking champagne with the friends who have been so supportive during a quite difficult time.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest with a fab dress like this I would wear it to a number of different occasions and make it versatile with accessories. It is so lovely nobody would care I had worn it to more than one party :0)
ReplyDeleteI would wear this dress in my kitchen with a pair of red peep toes, red lipstick and a retro frilly white half apron (glass of wine in hand of course) to cook a fabulous dinner for two.
ReplyDeleteI've spent the last three months away from home for work so I've been living in a hotel and eating out every night (it gets boring very quickly) and to be able to cook again and to be back home would require a proper 1950s housewife style celebration for which this dress would be perfect!
I would save it and wear it to the Ritz for tea, sounds silly, only thing stopping me going was nothing to wear and my grandma wants to take me for a thank you.
ReplyDeleteI'd wear this dress with combat boots and braids in my hair to go to the grocery store. Why not?
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't seem to have any fabulous cocktail parties lined up over the festive season (again) so I'd wear it in Tescos - the only place I get out to in the evenings when the kids are asleep. Sob.
ReplyDeleteI always wear a pretty dress on Christmas day, and this would be it!!!
ReplyDeletei would wear the dress on Christmas day - we always make an effort to dress up and look amazing for some reason and think this would be perfect and make me feel brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear the dress on Christmas day, Boxing day, and whetever other day I could as it's so lush! Nobody else in the household dresses up for these things, just me, but I don't care! I'll also wear it when Hugh Laurie takes me out for dinner.... he ust hasn't called to set a date yet :)
ReplyDeleteGail xxx
I would wear it for my brother's engagement party! It would be lovely to dress up in such a pretty dress for such a special occassion! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it whilst stuffing my goose on Christmas day - nothing like having a bit of glamour in that kind of awkward situation!
ReplyDeleteWow amazing dress! I'd wear it on a romantic date with Ian Somerhalder (Lost, Vampire Diaries). Sorry, just came out a screening with him, and he's just got the dreamiest eyes ever! Still reeling from the fact I got to speak to him :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh! VERY classy. I would wear this on my up and coming birthday- January 5th! What better way to celebrate the big 2-4 ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my, I'd wear that lovely dress everywhere, with a rather cute fob watch as a necklace. Keep it simple :) I'd probably wear it to girly nights at the Art Deco cinema and classy cocktail bars afterwards.
ReplyDeleteAt this time of year I would go with the expected and wear it for the NYE party to end all parties! Or I could be really festive and give it to my girlfriend, who would look immensely hotter and more suited to the look!!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, what a beautiful dress! I've been away from the UK for the last three months, living in Chicago, but I'm flying home to London today! I would wear that gorgeous thing to Simpson's on the Strand on Christmas Eve. That is the tradition my mom, my husband and I share - drinks in the Knight's Bar on the first floor and then some of the most gorgeous beef in the Grand Divan. I can't imagine a better homecoming.
ReplyDeleteOooo how beautiful!! I'd wear this dress on my honeymoon. Me and my new hubby are off to New York on Christmas day (it's my wedding present to him and a complete surprise!!) and I'd wear this out to dinner.
ReplyDeleteOh my good God that is utterly beautiful. I have a similar dress from the actual 1950s but sadly in one of those bizarre late-twenties growth spurts my boobs are now too large for it, so this would be the perfect replacement!
ReplyDeleteI would wear it around the house to do the hoovering and Domestic Goddess-style baking (with a fetching 50s apron over the top) and I would also wear it to every single party between now and next Christmas!
This is it - it's the ONE! The dress that re-shapes me into a perfect hourglass figure. In the blink of an eye, I'd become the elegant sophisticate I've always longed to be. With that thought firmly in mind, I wouldn't just wear this beautiful dress, I'd live in it!!! Backed up by a cast of cropped cardies (in every conceivable colour of pink), a shiny set of pearls and a good dry cleaners, I'd never again have to revert back to the shame of being a 'fashion accident'. I'd sleep in it, eat in it, flirt in it, clean in it, dream in it, breeze in and out of rooms in it, bake in it......get stuck in traffic in it, sit at my computer so long I get creases in it, walk home in the pouring rain with bags of shopping in it, spill drinks on it...but who cares, I'd still look great just because I'm wearing it. Here, there and everywhere!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear the dress whenever I wanted to feel and look beautiful! Putting it on would make me feel like a celebrity. Who needs a special event to show off - making everyday a special one!

I would wear this (the first of many times) at New Year, because quite simply, this dress would make any girl feel like the belle of the ball, which is what we all want at least once in life...
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! After debuting it on NYE with a shed load of sparkle, I'd probably wear it slightly toned down to work to bring a touch of glam to my otherwise dreary day.
ReplyDeleteToo gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it at my office Christmas party - to prove that I do in fact have legs! :-)
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI'll wear it barefoot, dancing around my new barn conversion on new years eve - as I won't be able to afford to go out! I'll even get someone to take pics! Then... I'll wear it every chance I get after that! :)
ReplyDeleteMonkey World. And why not?
ReplyDeleteAt the local civic ball
ReplyDeleteif i was lucky enouhg to win it and so lucky that it made it to me by saturday i would wear it to either the christmas day gala dinner and party or the new years eve one i shall be attending.
ReplyDelete*Swoon* My beloved OH is whisking me away in January to a very posh (It will be like a my fair lady remake!) hotel for a champagne break. I know im very lucky! I have nothing suitably gorgeous to wear though : Please help me stun him as a thankyou for him being so kind x
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful dress! I would wear it on Christmas day, over my swimming costume so that I would look glam on the seafront before stripping down to the swimming cossie to join in the Christmas day swim in the sea in Exmouth.
ReplyDeleteI'd wear the beautiful dress to my gingerbread baking party, be all Nigella and domestic goddessy!
ReplyDeleteretweeted @vickxy!
What a gorgeous dress! If I were lucky enough to win it, I'd make sure OH took me somewhere glam to show it off. Otherwise guess I'd just have to waer it doing the ironing, cleaning out the chickens, cooking the dinner, walking the dog...
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous dress? And where to wear it? Well I've been conducting a children's choir in London the past few months and it's our final carol concert in a few days time - it would be the perfect thing to wear to end the Winter Season [and surprise all the children... the perfect thing to say 'I can look nice and don't always wear stereotypical frumpy Primary School teacher clothes!']
ReplyDeleteI would wear the dress this Christmas when I see my absolutely amazing gorgeous and absolutely fabulous sister Jane Bradley :)
ReplyDeleteI might also be tempted to wear it everytime I left the house, circa Cecilia in the Virgin Suicides. But I'd be so happy with the dress that I wouldn't throw myself off the roof.
Tash xx
Samantha Parsons,
ReplyDeleteI would wear it walking my jack russell alfi on Xmas day! I wouldn't give him a cuddle tho as he would get white hairs everywhere! xx
Oh my goodness - I'd wear this dress on Christmas Day so I can look as stylish as my little sis always does, instead of looking like the kids dressed me! I think I'd look fab dishing out the Christmas dinner wearing it too, with a wee apron to protect it of course - very domestic goddess-like!
ReplyDeleteEmma Wilson
Constantly is when I'd wear this dress. I'd wear it to work (clearly a practical choice; I'd wear it to cook in; I'd wear it to sit on the sofa and knit it. Just imagine how gorgeous life would be, strolling around in a dress like this! I would wear it to cheer me up- I've been on crutches for seven weeks, and having something as splendiferous as this in my wardrobe would definitely help.
ReplyDeleteAs the chances of winning this dress are so slim. I am going to enter a perfect dreamworld where this very audrey-esque dress belongs only to me. Therefore the only place to be is in my lovely warm snuggly bed watching Sabrina, my favourite Audrey film because this is a Sabrina style dress.xxxx
ReplyDeleteAs the chances of winning this dress are so slim. I am going to enter a perfect dreamworld where this very audrey-esque dress belongs only to me. ReplyDeleteIf I could, I'd wear the ridiculously beautiful dress on my birthday - I'm going to see Swan Lake in the afternoon on New Year's Eve! Glamour at the ballet, non?
ReplyDeleteI would *love* this dress! I have lost nearly 7 stone this year by sticking to a really strict diet but alas as a result, my gallbladder has decided it doesn't want to work properly anymore so I'm having surgery on Monday to have it removed. Which means I am missing my Christmas party this year as I'll be laid up recovering over Christmas. So my first slim Christmas and my opportunity to look fabulous in a gorgeous dress will be missed, I am so sad :( So I would love to win this dress and get my husband to take me out somewhere suitably posh in the new year when I'm all recovered and make up for the fact I spent most of Christmas week in a hospital gown. x
ReplyDeleteI would wear this little number to impress my husband for Valentines Day 2010! Drop dead gorgeous and it would go perfectly with my 1940's style heeled lace ups!
ReplyDeleteLorna
I would not wear this dress, but my WIFE would hopefully wear it on our next day night as we always try and out-do the other one on fanciness! She'd definitely win. This is drop-dead gorgeous, and just her style! It'd make a great Christmas (even if belated) present for her, and make up for our tightened budget this year (which left me to buy good, but MUCH LAMER gifts than this dress would be).
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it to one of the celebrations surrounding my brother's wedding. So excited and happy for him!
ReplyDeleteHi There,
ReplyDeleteBeing a regular purchaser of Aspire, I love all your beautiful clothes!!
I would love to win such a lovely garmet! at Christmas over christmas going out and enjoying the festivities!!!
Hopefully hear from you soon then...
Susan McGowran
I would put this dress on with a wonderful feather fascinator and high heels, along with some 50s retro style makeup and I would serve up the Christmas meal, which I am hosting at home this year, whilst wearing the dress and looking like an uber glam Stepford wife!
ReplyDeleteLouise McDonagh
I would wear this to a black tie gala I'm attending on New Year's Eve. It's the first event I've been too for years because I'm ill, so super excited, and the dress would finish off the evening nicely, perhaps with some pearls and a pretty hair corsage.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is to DIE for! Reminds me of January Jones from Mad Men (my favorite show).
ReplyDeleteI live with my Fiancee and his two kids. Immediately shopping for "Mama K" (that's me) went out the window. Then, I got sick in April and had to have surgery, then my fiancee was laid off, and right after I had to start driving to Austin from Houston every week to finish school. I had to spend the last month of summer in the hospital and on bedrest because I had to have another immediate surgery. Soon after surgery, our savings ran out and I had to find work.
David still hasn't found a job, but is draining himself doing labor intensive contract work. We both work so hard, have been through so much, and are still madly in love.
If I was blessed enough to have this dreamy frock, I would come home early, get all dolled up in this GORGEOUS dress, cook dinner for him, and have a romantic night at home. Then when things got better financially, I would wear this out any chance I had!
What a great giveaway y'all!
Happy Holidays!

Its lovely, it would have to be for New Years Eve. :)
ReplyDeleteI would wear this dress to the pub. Christmas in retail is hell on earth, so me and some people from work are going for a little pick-me-up when we finish to take the edge off the clamouring masses desperate for celebrity biographies. This dress would be perfect for sitting by the fire and trying to beat the pub quiz machine.
ReplyDeletePS -retweeted @maxiboose
ReplyDeleteI would wear it to my collage interview it would look really good with a cute cropped blazer and some smart heals, perfect.
ReplyDeleteI would wear it on our family Christmas dinner - this dress is the best outfit ever! I would be forever the Glamour Auntie on the photos showns in the many years to come! Lxx
ReplyDeleteThis dress is absolutely gorgeous and deserves an amazing occassion to be worn to.
ReplyDeleteSshh don't tell him but I'm pretty sure my boyfriend of 4 years is going to propose on New Years Eve, so I am looking desperately for the perfect dress, and I think I've found it in this number! It will be something I'll always look back on and (hopefully!!) remember an incredible night. :)
I would call this my 'good' dress and wear it when doing good things, such as visiting the recycle tip after Christmas with all of the left over wrapping an boxes... Also I will don this beaut of a frock when assisting lovely young men (who really never needed my help in the first place) cross the road! x
ReplyDeleteIt's my 3 year anniversary with my boyfriend on Jan 6th so I'd wear it out to Chatsworth during the day with a thick knit cardigan and pretty flats and then I'd style it up with some pearls, a feather hair piece and lashings of red lippie for our evening dinner out.
ReplyDeleteswooooon! beauuuuuuutiful dress!
ReplyDeleteif i was lucky enough to win i'd wear it for a romantic dinner out with my hubby,
....and doing the ironing
....and the gardening
.... and the dishes
....and the shopping ....i love it!!!
Although i am male, i am entering for my girlfriend (in secret) I would ask her to wear it on a night on the town to which I would treat her for being so special, and a beautiful princess.
ReplyDeleteI would sashay around the house whilst doing the housework - it would at least make me feel glamorous whilst undertaking an unglamorous job (do you think it would look good with pink marigolds?)
ReplyDeleteI would wear this gorgeous dress on Christmas Day, whilst entertaining the family. Its perfect to swan around the house in, paired with ridiculously high heels, and I would in fact be the hostess with the mostess. The food might be pants, but at least I'd look like a true domestic goddess!
ReplyDeleteI would wear this little stunner with some white vintage accessories to my upcoming work Christmas party, bringing a bit of classic monochrome chic to the office...to be later topped off, apres beverages, with my novelty reindeer antlers.
ReplyDeleteI would wear this beautiful dress to my leaving party in January - ready for travelling and doing some work abroad - would be perfect for one last elegant evening.
ReplyDeleteI would buy this lovely dress for my wife to wear at our upcoming business gala, I think it looks elegant and stylish - Love it!
ReplyDeleteI am sure that I am about to be invited to the party of the season! Anyone??? And I will rock the dress and increase the domestic sluttery quotient in the room. I might also wear it out for sushi with my husband on our 5th anniversary - because other than you ladies, he is the one I get dolled up for.
ReplyDelete
