Event Preview: The Vintage Furniture Flea, Brighton

Just when you thought Brighton couldn’t get any cooler, it goes and offers up a beauty like The Vintage Furniture Flea on May 15th.

Not that Brighton itself gets the cool-points for this one, as it’s all down to the fabulous Judy Berger, founder of the ever-popular Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair that now occur at twenty destinations UK-wide.

The Vintage Furniture Flea gets us all excited because it gives us a chance to get our mitts on pretty finds from the fifties to seventies, including ceramics, bold prints and fabrics, European glassware and many other reasons for us to book a train ticket to Leeds quicker than you can say ‘eclectic table lamp’.

As well as feeling super-chic as you strut around the 45 stalls made up of handpicked traders, you can rest assured that you’ll be getting our thrift on too: one of the cornerstones of Judy’s values is bringing her eclectic mix of stock at affordable prices so anyone and everyone can get some Vintage glamour in their homes without getting an overdraft too.

There’s already been one such of these events in London in March, so we’re hoping the Brighton one is a sign that the Vintage Furniture Flea could be coming to a gorgeous venue near you some time in the future.

The event on 15th May takes place at Brighton Racecourse, and runs 11.30-4.30 for the General public (with an entry cost of £2), or – if you’re an eager Vintage maniac like me – you can get in as an Early Bird at 11am for £3.

This was a guest post be our trainee Domestic Slut Laura Vickers. Bet she knows how to haggle.
